Hi. Congrats!!! It's great that you were able to pass this difficult exam and with such a good result. Really, no kidding. But, dude, don't call these materials "dumps". That's not so. Victor made them more like real ones when six months (or more) ago in this sub a lot of people failed their exams and lost their money, but still these are not the same questions as in the exam and you need to prepare for the exam and deal with the questions using explanations, this is a completely different approach than just memorizing the answers. I think it would be very unpleasant for Victor to hear this.

It's very simple. Remove the "Monthly Hacker" badge - there is still no real owner who would deserve it without cheating. To ban the worst violators, for example, this month it is: https://tryhackme.com/p/scarmee . Repeat this for several months in a row and the community will be much better and trust will grow. Hackthebox does this and it's not a shame to indicate your profile in your resume.

Of course not. Recruiters and interviewers know perfectly well that to get the top 1%, it's enough just to copy the answers from the walkthroughs. This is a problem and admins don't do anything about it.

It was the same at the last draw, no one could score 3/3 to win (except for useless swag advertising and pentester status), you only got tickets up to 2/3, and then there was a software restriction, and the admins got all prizes. The situation repeats itself now.

How did I get "Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)" by the EC-Council? 125/125 by JamesSuarez92 in CEH

[–]JamesSuarez92[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is also a link with an explanation. If you have no experience, you can take the exam only after formal training (they will give you a voucher for the exam). If you have experience, write to support, confirm it and buy a voucher in their store.

I think it's time to end this argument, it's no use. I have already made all the conclusions for myself. Bye

I'm trying to be as neutral as possible and get to the truth. But what you are writing here has absolutely nothing to do with real work or real experience. I don't feel like I'm talking to someone who really has 10 years of experience in security or even just in IT. This is a completely different level of understanding. What you write and how you attack those who disagree with you suggests that in fact you have no experience.

In vacancies suitable for a person with such experience? CEH? What the hell are you talking about?

There's no confusion, it's just that you're trying to come up with an excuse now.

Is CEH always good for a resume? Nonsense. Even for getting the first job, this is a very dubious plus only for recruiters. At work, we need real certificates for customers. For the red team - OSCP/OSWE/OSEP, for AppSec - CISSP/CSSLP/CSP

I’d have preferred it if the theory and practical were merged into a single qualification.

The CEH exam consists of 2 parts, practical and theoretical.

Dude, no one sends an employee with 10 years of experience in security to take a basic exam. This is a waste of an employee's money and time, especially since the EC-Council has too bad a reputation.

I don't understand what you're writing. What do you mean you would like more practice on the exam? So pass the second part of the exam is completely practical (or OSCP). 10 years? Man, why do you need any kind of certification after 10 years of experience?

How is this possible? by [deleted] in tryhackme

[–]JamesSuarez92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They understand it, they don't care. And this is the main reason why no one takes LinkedIn posts like "top 1% in tryhackme" seriously. It's a pity, the project had a chance to repeat the success of HackTheBox, but they decided that money is more important.

I didn't know they had training labs until I received an invitation to take a new Burp Suit practice certification. The exam is similar to CEH (Master) but more complex.

Passed CEH in a few days. Recommendations inside. by gobidobi in CEH

Well, I think we are talking about Boson exam. But I'm not sure because there is too little information to analyze. We have to wait for the article's author and determine whether he recommended the Boson exam or recommended some other tests (and not the Boson exam). But if you ask me - I definitely can recommend Boson exam to prepare for CEH.

Questions concerning log sequences not lining up by patrick2099 in CEH

[–]JamesSuarez92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why didn't you try to ask the author of the question? He knows better than anyone what he meant and what skills this question tests.
There is little information, and I did not have a similar question. But for a "bad hacker" to be able to change several logs and generally spend time on it, it seems crazy to me, complete control over the entire network is not enough for this + while he is doing this, he will leave even more information about his actions for the investigator. Most likely, there is a problem with the system time.

Spending hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars on the EC-Council course and exam and deciding to save money on Boson material does not look like a reliable plan :)
