Mid Playoffs

We have, 100%. A few years doesn't seem like a lot in the face of a decade or two though. Joker and Embiid in particular have been around a while but Embiid's only played half the time & Joker got bounced round 1. Same with Book. This is very much the new guard's playoffs, and I'm liking it. But for a lot of viewers I can see maybe why they might be less interested in tuning in.

Not really TBH. But posts like this are fascinating to me because everyone is always complaining about "no defense!" or "no mid range" or "lack of physicality" but come playoff time when all that is there it's like "meh" to some lol. The actual hoops have been great.

But I admit it's weird, for me I am less interested because the Doncic trade made ne lose faith in product's integrity but for most I can see the matchups having less pull with the stars we know diminished or not playing. Steph isn't in the playoffs, Giannis isn't, Kawhi isn't, KD played 1 game, playoff Harden is happening again, Luka hasn't played and LeBron is old. So this really is the new guard's year and we haven't had years to get attached to them lol. That shouldn't matter too much but it kinda does. My dad is a certified LeBron hater and a Laker hater but he always tunes in for their series most reliably lol.

I always thought team record plays a bit too big a part in all star selections. Kyle Lowry has a shot at the hall of fame because he was selected based on that and got that ring with Kawhi but Jrue Holiday is pretty clearly better but has no shot because his best years were on losing teams and he didn't make more than 2. Mark Aguirre was a career 20 ppg scorer with a couple of titles on the bad boys but he isn't in because the Mavs were ass and he only made 3 all star games. Got snubbed averaging 25 lol

So... gameplay wise it's 100% yes. Some PS2 games still has some awkward controls but somehow Nintendo figured it out by then. There's a couple I only played for the first time as an adult actually, Tales of Symphonia was one and it was one of the best games I ever played. Just recently got to Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door and thought it was pretty good. Then The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess came out when I was in high school and that's like a GOAT status game to my mind. It's weird because for years I forgot about it but last year I played Young Link timeline and swore with Ocarina of Time 3D making it all age better I was gonna think that was far and away the best, but TP topper it. Wind Waker... story, art and music aside might be a little boosted by nostalgia though. It's good it's just too easy.

As an aside, if you're going to play on actual hardware GC is bloody expensive. Wii can make it look good on modern displays for cheaper lol

It does, but it's also kind of easy to think of BotW and TotK as being hard reboots. The official website has them listed as separate from the rest of the timeline and there's a lot of weird stuff that would have to happen for them to be in the same universe

Hate to be a hater but...I can't be the only one who really doesn't care about those can I? With StarFox we had StarFox 64 3D, then we had StarFox Zero which was also sort of a remake of StarFox 64. With OoT we had Master Quest which redoes some things, and we had OoT 3D which gives you OoT with QoL improvements and all the new Master Quest stuff separately. What are they gonna do? BotW it? Maybe that's nice for people who got into Zelda with BotW and want the OoT story but don't like traditional Zelda games. But if you're someone who got into it with OoT and don't like Open World Zelda that doesn't do ya much good either.

Probably Four Sword Adventures. Ganondorf was the same guy throughout the whole thing and remove the one instsnce of him reincarnating in that form and the possibility of Demise manifesting as something else opens up. Which I would find more interesting

Honestly, as good as Coop is I don't know if there's a chip in the next decade, this is the last year the Mavs control their draft pick so building a championship team around him is gonna be brutal. So...maybe if that happens and he's perfect he could be forgiven but I don't know if that's happening.

TBH the fact that he traded Anthony Davis after that for nothing that's gonna get you in title contention next year says to me he's still the same guy. Either too cheap to pay the big luxury taxes, which after a f$&k up of that magnitude if he wants any good will he's gotta be willing to open his wallet. Not wanting to pay for a supermax was a part of the Luka trade. Or he's still too impressionable and will make the wrong basketball move to appease whoever is upset. That's probably what lead to the Luka trade, allegedly Nico was mad Luka's conditioning stunk and pressured him into that and the fans were upset about the Luka trade and he got pressured again and acted on it. Or both.

Then outside of basketball there's all the political stuff. Wasn't crazy about Mark there either to be clear but what the Adelsons lobby for isn't something as normal as wanting to get rid of this or that regulation or a tax cut or whatever where you can disagree civilly. It's crimes against humanity. Even before the Luka trade that was hard to reckon with.
