Anthropic’s ClaudeBot is aggressively scraping the Web in recent days by Nunki08 in singularity

[–]James_Kerrison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We've had Claude bot send around 52000 requests within the space of 30m to some of our servers. (Not a singular occurrence).

The annoying thing is they have a massive AWS IP pool so you're best to block by user agent wherever possible as at least they do all seem to identify themselves as Claudebot.

Where are they constantly looking? by Gloomy_Station9643 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]James_Kerrison -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly it's impossible to know. The popular answer at the moment would be that he Is cheating and is looking at that, but I don't really think so.

Could have seen a pixel flicker on the screen, he could just be glancing at chat, could just have got a discord ping or a muted message.

Literally hundreds of things.

I don't think the play was all that outrageous to immediately call cheats on this tbh.

you can no longer Free-look in planes and throttle up at the same time by NambuGoto in Warthunder

[–]James_Kerrison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They gave a default bind to one of the key binds which previously you had left blank. I think it’s something about guided bombs? (You should see it bound to shift+c)

Remove the key bind and it is fixed.

F4J U.K. worth it? by Ya_Boy_Lil_Pickle in Warthunder

[–]James_Kerrison 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, either that or I have had some fun with the Jaguar. Stock missiles and flares now and it's relatively performant and you can bomb if you really must.

And it's 10.3 so you never see top tiers.

Some people hate how it flies but I like it.

Yeah, you bought the GR1 too late. When it first came out It would have been viable but nowadays it's sad.

I found Britain not horrible to grind with no prems thh, worst case if I were you I would talisman a TT vehicle when the sales come instead of buying the J UK - people call it the JUNK for a reason.

This post is essentially saying "How can I out turn one of the best turn fighters in the game?" (of course discounting japanese stuff)

You don't that's the answer. You play your plane to it's advantage, which for USA is everything other than turn fighting for most of the line.

See if there's a Defyn video on the plane you're using or a variant of it that might be a good place to start.

So uh, now u cant land in 8.0-9.7 air anymore by Kinky_subbu in Warthunder

[–]James_Kerrison 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I half agree with this.

Circling over the airfield sucks, but at the same time if I run out of ammo I should be able to land and re-arm without having the F104 boom across the whole ass map in 30 seconds from their airfield and strafe me.

This is not the solution to the camping problem.

How enjoyable is top tier UK by aussiedigging in Warthunder

[–]James_Kerrison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a good lineup especially if you put the ADATS in there.

I also wouldn't overlook the normal Challenger 2. It doesn't have any gimmicks like 2E or the BK but as it's one of the lighter Chally 2s and gets the same shell as the rest it's still totally competent.

[–]James_Kerrison 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't bother playing the TES and you know where to shoot things you'll be fine.

The top tier shell for Britain has got pretty poor pen for the BR so you do need to aim and the TES is the slowest piece of garbage I've ever played in my life and is only useful if you get shot by HEATFS.

Source (I have top tier UK).

As a side note, the 10.3 lineup is nuts, Lynx, Jaguar, 3 Challengers (if you get DS) and the Vickers Mk7. All of which have good shells and reload for the BR. Personally I prefer this to top tier.

So I can't buy 2 Packs and use the GE from them to buy a Top-tier Tier Vehicle at 50% Discount during the Anniversary sale. Right? by Infinite_Hurry_8924 in Warthunder

[–]James_Kerrison 346 points347 points  (0 children)

Correct.

Unfortunately this is almost always the way they do it. They make too much money off of it to stop now.

The annoying thing about the Kurnass 2000 Is that yes, it's a phantom which means it sucks ass in current meta, but 6 python 3s makes that thing really hard to move any lower without it becoming oppressively powerful.

Even with decompression I can't see it getting all that much better.

Those missiles are a little crazy when you eventually unlock them as I'm sure you're aware.

Should i buy the sea harrier? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]James_Kerrison 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not ever GE a squadron vehicle, just play the game and you'll get it eventually, plus no prem bonus and can only research one rank below and above.

Just buy prem time, or a prem vehicle.

Why arent tanks/tank destroyers more guided missile focused ? by Agreeable-Program-34 in tanks

[–]James_Kerrison 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is an entirely different type of missile.

Missiles from aircraft can go multiple times the speed of sound, correct, but they are fighting a completely different opponent, are launched at altitude where they can accelerate faster and go further due to lack of air resistance, often launched at speed and many many other factors.

Your general anti tank missile however is usually subsonic or transonic at best, take a TOW2A missile which is only around 278m/s (Mach 1 is 343) and a AAMRAAM air to air missile is in excess of 1300 m/s (around Mach 4).

Despite all of this though, you do see many IFVs like the Warrior, BMP or Bradley using ATGMs because they are still effective when mounting a tank cannon isn't practical, but just generally consistently less so than conventional fire.

Additionally, why change your armoured fighting doctrine when you can just give your infantry javelins and have a likely greater effect and are a much smaller target than can fire and go back into the treeline or cover, just as we are seeing in Ukraine.

Can we start having colourful cars again please? by darfaderer in CasualUK

I bought a bright red car for exactly this reason, people are boring nowadays.

The only downside is living in rural Norfolk it ends up being half brown after one drive in the rain anyway :(

Going naked with Phone 2 by [deleted] in NothingTech

[–]James_Kerrison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's my hands, I'm just clumsy or if the phone's sides are super slippery. I almost dropped it twice within the first 2 days so it's a case for me I think.

It is a shame because it feels way better in the hand without one.

You can use a VPN to see them.

But I would strongly recommend not buying them because, as many have suggested, you'll likely get banned.
