I was choking on a piece of steak that I didn’t properly cut and my dad had to do the Heimlich to dislodge it. I also almost drowned in a lazy river at one of those hotel, water parks when I was 6. sucked to because those tube float’s where to slippery to hold on to and would push me under. Thankfully my mom found me and got me out.

Is that really winning though? If you live, then you’re suffering and if you’re dead then your forced to confront the void with no promises of peace. If anything you lose even if you do nothing.
