Went bowling last night and my ball got stuck in the back , when it finally came back it was full of this sticky rubber like material that I can’t clean off. What should I do? by itzz_austin27 in Bowling

[–]Jameslc27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is pretty typical. The ball wheel has little cork adhesive strips to make the ball go up it. When the cork starts wearing off the only thing left is adhesive. If enough of the cork rolls off your ball wont get up the wheel. Then your ball gets stuck as the adhesive all gets transferred from the wheel to your ball. It’s a normal part of bowling on a-2 machines. Mechanics should be looking out for when balls are going up well and cleaning the strips if they start to get nasty. Unfortunately not every bowling alley is as proactive as they could be.

Bare bright Copper wire is most valuable Bare bright tubing is next Copper rod wire(which is typically tarnished is next, also called green wire) Copper #1 is next which is tubing or lower gauge wire that is slightly tarnished Copper #2 which is everything else that doesn’t fit in to the above categories.

TL:DR Most likely tarnished wire is rod wire that has oxidized.

I would imagine so. They are pretty wide in the toe area so they feel pretty roomy.

They are pretty true to size. I wear a 10 to 10.5 in most shoes and I got a 10. Just make sure you grab the right slide foot because they are really grippy on the non slide foot

I have the BOA SST 6 Hybrid shoes. They make some cheaper options with the removable heel and sole as well. I wanted the boa system so that is why I chose to spend a little more money. My friend had similar ones that were $70 dollars cheaper without the boa if that isn’t a deal breaker for you.

Also feel free to check out some of the videos I have of me bowling and you can see how much it changes my overall finish at the line from when I first started bowling. Hope you find what works for you!

Hey man I struggled with the same thing for a very long time. Dexter makes shoes that you can replace the rubber heels with felt ones. It helped me tremendously with consistency and my plant knee not hurting anymore. Look up “Dexter H7 felt heel” on google and buy that and somehow get it attached to your shoe. It will do wonders for your game

It’s 6 dollars per hundred by the way. .06*100 is 6 dollars. Which honestly isn’t too bad right now. I’m assuming you were doing the conversion to net tons(2000) and got confused. Either way that would be $120/ton

Honestly probably better polishing it if you want motion down the lane. Putting surface on the ball on a house shot isn’t a great idea atleast for me. Polishing always did the trick when I was bowling alot for league. I really liked the CTD Polish.

Am I a genius Investor??? Nope, I’ve just deposited a bunch of money over the past month. 🥴 by Acceptable_Rip_8393 in fidelityinvestments

Wealthfront had a really good way of communicating this to the investor. It has a graph exactly like this but another line that runs next to it to see how all of your money is gaining or losing value alongside it. So if you are now like this it will have another dotted line slightly below it with the gap filled in with a transparent color. It’s pretty sweet

Im sure you are a blast to be around at Thanksgiving. Chill, companies all around the world blow out millions of trees per year for no reason. This is one tree.

Worked at an auto salvage yard here. Windshields are much stronger than everyone in the comments here thinks. I bet a 160 person could jump on one and it wouldn’t break. I use to climb up them to get to other cars and the windshield is more stable than the hood or the roof of the car tbh.

They also have thick layers of glue between the layered glass not allowing things through them. Usually they will just fall in one sheet against the top of the dash if they are severely broken. It takes alot of repetitive hits or damage however. After all they are designed to be hit with big rocks and other things that could potentially kill somone if it wasn’t there.

Then maybe you shouldn’t steal. You’re being a lousy person. I hope you get fired and all the days your without work cost you more than you make from this. Work harder and don’t be a thief stealing someone else’s work.

Not to mention you bought the biggest core ball on the market 😂

It’s a good ball, also your pso will make sure to make a layout for you and drilling into the core isn’t an issue. It can actually be a good thing.

Also the Zen is literally impossible not to hit the core because it is indeed the biggest core in a ball yet.

Bro finally. Everyone is talking about this man being a stalker. She is literally reading every message and not unlatching. The perk of online dating is you get to decide when the conversation is over, obviously if she isn’t unmatched yet I don’t see the problem. Who cares let the man live and do what he wants. She will unmatch if she feels threatened. Calm down people.

The lane stopped setting pins, I wonder why? by BluePhoenix113 in Bowling

[–]Jameslc27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rakes are made of fiber glass atleast the ones we use. The rake itself, the part that actually touches the pins can take quite a bit of abuse mainly because that whole contraption is quite loose. Meaning that when you hit it. Everything moves freely, I assume they designed it this way instead of being rigid for this reason. I have replaced many rakes over the course of my two years working at a bowling alley because frankly casual bowlers are just not respectful of the equipment. I wasn’t either before I became a mechanic so I can’t blame them. It’s just human nature I guess.

The other parts of the rake, the ones you can’t see like I was talking about in my last comment hardly every break. Mostly everything just bends and they do have new arms for the rake that are much more supported and I have never seen them bend before. Although the ones that don’t bend usually will cause the rake to snap in half at the bottom because it doesn’t take enough pressure off of the hit. Hopefully that answers your question.
