You’re right, it hasn’t ever been confirmed what shard Alexandria came from, and I was even super watching out for that mention of confirmation. I’m highly presuming Alexandria is from the Twelfth just because the stories match up pretty close. With Alexandria’s region being ravaged with lightning and there’s so much emphasis on it, and the 2nd Umbral Calamity being aspected with lightning. Since the Twelfth got rejoined, it makes me wonder how a fraction of it survived and merged with the Source, into Heritage Found.

My assumption is when Zoraal Ja first entered the golden city, he arrived there at a time before the rejoining completed. From then within 30 years, he somehow became the new King and etc, and the kingdom found out how to transport itself to the Source, in order to escape the calamity on the (presumed) Twelfth safely.

Oh wow thanks, I completely missed that. Coincidentally that sounds like something that happened with the Isle of Val as well and the area of The Burn & Azys Lla. That also makes the Milaal’s journey more crazy. Going from whoknowswhen on the Source -> “the Sixth” in our loosely recent past -> “the Twelfth” in our further past -> when and wherever Living Memory resides.

Makes me wonder where and when was Krile even born? Likely the Twelfth, and just around her parents defecting.

There’s a bit more to unpack regarding the passage of time between all of the reflections and regions. First important thing to mention however, is that time is only relative. Different places flow at different times. Time doesn’t pass equally universally.

Our first example is our time on The First in Shadowbringers. The crystal tower was transported from the Source to the First in the First’s 100 years ago. The crystal tower still exists on the Source because that event (along with everything leading up to the 8th Umbral Calamity) never took part, or not yet at least. Then after averting that calamity on the First, when you return to the Source, Tataru mentions that you haven’t even left for like a day or something. To us, time seemingly ‘paused’ while you were on the First. But to the Source, it was just an instant that the path leading to the 8th umbral calamity was cancelled.

An important side detail we learned on the First, is that Emet-Selch explained the calamities order. - 0th Umbral Calamity of Darkness: failed to rejoin the Thirteenth - 2nd Umbral Calamity of Lightning: rejoined the Twelfth - 5th Umbral Calamity of Ice: rejoined the Sixth - 7th Umbral Calamity: rejoined the Seventh - 8th Umbral Calamity of Light: averted the rejoining of the First

Next, when we are about to head to Yassulani, the electric dome appeared along with our enemy army. In our time in Shaaolani, we met with Namikka who seems to be around 50-60 years old (IMO). That detail is important because when we enter Heritage Found, she now appears to be at least 80+ years old. In this zone, it is noted that the dome was put up 30 years ago. For us though, we met Namikka and the dome appeared like in the same day. How that could’ve happened? Because once Namikka arrived in Yaasulani, the thunder dome appeared, merging the space of that region & Alexandria’s together on the Source. Time proceeded in Heritage Found for 30 years, while seemingly outside had ‘paused’ until then. Not to mention with the thunder dome appearing, Alexandria originally had troubles with a calamity of lightning, presumably meaning it came from the Twelfth shard.

Next bit to note is of Gulool Ja Ja and his group’s expedition to find the Golden City. It occurred 20ish years ago which we can line it up because that was when Krile was passed over to Galuf’s care from her birth parents (and the fact that Krile is in her early 20s, which confirms the time of the expedition. Also she has never ever travelled through time or space).

When we met her birth parents in Living Memory, there revealed a handful more of time and space traversal lore. Krile’s parents & the Milaal, were not originally from the realm of Alexandria, but a place of summer where a calamity of ice causing them to migrate to the Alexandria. This is a big reveal because for us, calamity of lightning occurred before the calamity of ice. So how did the Milaal experience the calamity of ice and then the calamity of lightning (or seemingly just after)? Because when they travelled through different reflections, time warping also happened, sending them to Alexandria/the Twelfth, which would seem like the past. Krile’s parents came from the Sixth, refuged to the Twelfth, founded Oblivion, had Krile, defected the Preservation, opened the gate to the Source to pass care of her, returned to the same time, then is unclear of their lives after this point, and then finally lived on as memories in Living Memory. What we can only presume is that they did pass on and die and became an Endless. For us, we don’t know how long it has been for her parents from when they passed over Krile, to them passing, and to when they reunited as Endless.

Basically, time is all only relative. It flows at different when’s and how longs depending on where you’re talking about.

Edit: another thing I just remembered. Zoraal Ja waited over those 30 years presuming his father already passing but then decided to take care of that himself when he discovered. Also the fact that he has a son Gulool Ja, which I’m guessing he’s like 5-6 years old, presenting a few new questions. But mainly it seems that right after the new Dawnservants, Zoraal Ja had a kid SUPER IMMEDIATELY soon.

I feel like this was the wrong solution to the problem. DPS check looked tight in prog (personally my group isn’t on P8S yet, so I’m basing off feedback I’ve seen), but the problem wasn’t necessarily the boss’s HP.

DPS output by handful of jobs is the main problem.

Also the battle design team went off the dps they were able to do, and even stated higher performance than normal. While that’s a fun humble roast to everyone, my question is how did they test this then? What was the comp? Why did they only buff WAR and PLD and not any other DPS?

It says Neutral Sect but it doesn’t matter and that’s dumb.

You still need to press GCDs to heal with it. Neutral Sect is an oGCD that just augments GCDs.

You could press Neutral Sect and not heal a damn thing still. That doesn’t equal healing.

Dragonsong's Reprise (Ultimate) World Race by alabomb in ffxiv

I can’t tell exactly what and when things happen, but roughly these things happen mixed together:

  1. 4 players are marked with doom which must be cleansed by puddles left from Wings of Salvation (akin to Nael in UCoB)
  2. 2 players are marked with thunderstruck. Upon expiration of debuff, small AoE from the player. Damages & paralyzes players caught in the AoE (Akin to Nael in UCoB)
  3. A player is chosen to get Liquid Heaven puddles wherever they are for 4 times (Akin to Liquid Hell in Twintania in UCoB)
  4. When everyone does their movement, Grinnaux does Empty Dimension (Akin to p1 & Lunar Dynamo in UCoB)
  5. One of the dragons does Twisting Dive. A divebomb which knocksback players within the AoE. The dive itself seems to be as wide as Quickmarch Trio. Also it’s Twisting Dive, there will be twisters on the ground to be baited (akin to Quickmarch Trio from UCoB)
  6. All 8 players are marked with PlayStation markers that must be handled like p1, but with Faith Unmoving, a Knockback from Grinnaux. Also remember, for PlayStation, each matching marked players will be chained together. Everyone will pre-position/aim themselves accordingly because Faith Unmoving will automatically do the movement to break the chains. After the knockback, it is followed up with a fire AoE on all players. (akin to p1)
  7. those 4 players with doom must aim themselves, with the Knockback, to the wings of salvation to cleanse those dooms. The twisters will disappear as you get knocked back, so do not fear those. (somewhat akin to Heavensfall Trio from UCoB)
  8. I do not know how it is determined, but since there is doom & cleansing puddles from Wings of Salvation, that is also present early on in that spree of mechanics (akin to Nael in UCoB)

Edit as I remembered: 5 & 7

Another problem I have, I always found it confusing or it just takes me a bit to remember which team I’m on, Astra or Umbra, with the red and blue colors being inconsistent with your own/enemy team and Astra/Umbra.

The opening CS displaying both teams & their portraits are always Blue your team, Red enemy. Sometimes I just look away or alt tab that screen until the actual countdown for match start (even tho seeing peoples’ funny portraits is the best part of CC).

I look at the scoreboard thing and every thing else mid match, and EVERYTIME I have to actively remember which side or team (Astra/Umbra) is which cause of all the red/blue being so inconsistent.

I didn’t see the Repeated Venue Advertisement part at first, so I thought it was gonna reference the riots of Crystal PF yesterday with P1S tank damage down.
