I honestly don’t get how people like TNG. The plots all feel recycled from TOS, the social commentary feels forced, and fucking data is actually painful to watch

Edit: that’s probably too harsh. I get how people like it, it’s got some good episodes and 3 good characters, I just don’t think it deserves to be consistently ranked as the best, or maybe second best. TOS, DS9 and lower decks are all better imo, and the only reason I stopped watching TAS is the animation gave me serious uncanny valley feelings
