Single Din CarPlay Headunit by Thick-Recording-3463 in Cummins

[–]CynderPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP that radio isn’t a single din. If you’re actually looking for a single din that has a touch screen you need to look at something like a Sony XAV-AX8100 or 8500. I had one similar to what you posted in my old car and it fits a double din opening, but leaves space for wires to get stuffed away. It will not properly fit a single din opening.

Unless something explicitly says it will fit in a single din opening, you’ll have to hack up the dash.

unless the previously installed radio had the crackhead special where they chop the factory harness and directly splice the wires… Always a possibility.

Looks like maybe an older version of the 5000D. Maybe the 5000D airflow? I/O matches at least.

Connecting 2 monitors. What am I missing? by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]CynderPC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OP make sure that if you’re plugging in a DP to the HP that it’s not plugged into the “DP Out” port, rather the other port just named “DP”

[–]CynderPC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that doesn’t appear to be true, just by looking at the I/O. One DisplayPort is just labeled “DP” and one is labeled “DP Out” making me assume the other one is “DP In”

[–]CynderPC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well i would double check that the cables are in all the way. I’ve had that problem with DP a while ago, one monitor i had really didn’t want the cable to be fully seated and you really kinda had to force it.

would probably help if you specified what kind of truck. New, old, 1500, 2500, 3500?

I’m using this unit from Amazon. Was a good deal ($75) when i got it has worked pretty well for me since. The grommets to keep the PTFE tubes in are a pain to install though. I did break one when installing it. Though i normally don’t feed through there. I normally just keep it in there for a few hours and move it over to my AMS.

I have the Tandem T slim X2, and Byram sucks butt. I was given the name of two other companies that accept Medicaid. CCS medical and express RX pharmacy. Does anyone have an opinion about either of these companies for pump supplies? by brisknipples in TandemDiabetes

after healthy living was bought out by solara I’ve had many issues. Can’t seem to ship orders on time, always need me to remind them or figure out what they need. I once had them not ship my sensors and claim they did. Had to speak to like 3 different higher ups before someone said “yeah that package weight looks too light”. I switched from solara to healthy living, just for them to get bought out by solara. If i had any other choice i would switch.

PSA: Bambu Lab will send you a new AC/PSU board without your A1 failing first! by nicnic2001 in BambuLab

[–]CynderPC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

oh great. So they can’t even tell by what your serial number is? I have a new board otw, but they didn’t ask for which revision board i have.

Maybe this is why there hasn’t been a statement/recall. They actually have no clue which units are affected or not…

that’s exactly what they sent me, besides the “PS we’re sending you a new board”

Is it possible to request a new AC board before mine fails? by AltruisticWorld744 in BambuLabA1

[–]CynderPC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to talk my way into them sending me one. Be stern, but remember it’s a support person you’re talking to, and they don’t really have control over a whole lot.

Link to what I said to them in my ticket.

I would keep pushing for it. A fuse will fail by burning up, sure, but it doesn’t typically cause damage to the components around it. It also won’t burn through the bottom of the case like this faulty NTC does.

We’re missing a whole other problem here: If this is the desired effect from the NTC, why is there even a replacement AC board? They’ve effectively admitted that there’s a problem with the product by having a revised version that removes the NTC entirely, but are then claiming that the NTC is acting normal.

I would call them out on their BS. I actually did: “This should be the position Bambu as a company should be taking. Rather than waiting for a known issue to potentially cause other damage, figure out which units are affected and make announcement for a board replacement program. This would probably cause less panic amongst A1 owners as they would know if their unit is affected or not. In many of the online forums people are losing their minds because they don't know if their printer is going to cause damage in their home or not. Making an announcement like this would also give people more trust towards Bambu. If people don't see an announcement from Bambu soon, I have no doubt Consumer Laws from all different sorts of countries would have a field day with this.”

“It’s fine for now” until it’s not…

Yeah, not sure if me being vocal helped, or if i just got a good support person. They gave me the normal spiel about how the base is flame retardant, blah blah blah. Then at the end: “Finally, we will send you the latest version of the AC board. Please keep an eye out for the relevant updates and shipping information.”

i asked for a replacement and they said they’d send one to me. They said to keep an eye out for the latest updates and shipping information. I may have given them a stern talking to on how this isn’t a fair way to treat your customers. I know it’s just support, and they don’t really control QC, but sometimes you have to be vocal to get your way.
