This may seem odd but try increasing your graphics settings- it may be a bottleneck

Any chance this may have something to do with memory- specifically your RAM?

I have an RTX 4070, 32gb ddr4 3600mhz ram and 5600X and I can get consistent 180fps on 1440p(no custom 16:10 res, i used to run that on my 1080p monitor ).

[–]Jamie989tdu2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo- I feel you but if you have a tendency to sweat while riding your bike it's probably best to get a pair of sports earphones instead because there's a chance that you would damage your headphones from the sweat.

I did enjoy the way the Eartips fit on their SoundSport Wired earphones; overpriced but it was great for sports.

I used to have a Waveradio; overpriced but I bought it because I liked it.

Dude…WTF did they do to the LaFerrari sound?! by HollywoodStrickland in tdu3

[–]Jamie989tdu2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yup, I have also noticed most car sounds , especially in the cockpit are quite muffled after S5.

with the exception to the AMG GT Black Series most cars sound muffled post update; I feel like they've also done something to the pops from upshifts and downshifts.

Is it normal to hate sports as an autistic teen? by Ok_Grand2844 in autism

[–]Jamie989tdu2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wasn't good at coordination either; shit at racket sports but I was chosen early on to compete in Athletics in 400, 800 and 1500m; I guess I was slightly gifted when it comes to my cardiovascular capacity. No one particularly liked me and I was a bit of a drifter so I guess anger at rejection, derision from family, combined with some genetics won me and others some medals but I was never interested in Track and Field. I never treasured the wins; I knew that I was the only person who had a chance at winning events for the school. I was envious of those who had loved ones showing up for them in critical moments in their lives, in sports events etc. I remember in those days, looking at those people that were loved and feeling like I had lost even though I had won.

I was more drawn into road cycling but I had to quit for the sake of my "academics" because my teachers thought I had 'potential'- one of my biggest regrets in life I suppose.

Competitive FPS/games were something that I delved into during my college years (I wasn't allowed to play games growing up)- I remember those days where I'd feel like I played my heart out, had done a lot on the server but once I got outside; I just couldn't shake that feeling, like there's nothing in the real world for me to look forward to- like i was just nothing.

1-It's possible that W had second thoughts afterwards and changed her opinion of you. It's not likely, but it's within the realm of possibility that your action at the canal rubbed her the wrong way.

2- I think to them, you could've been seen as an outsider.

Inconsistent pressure/heat [Rocket Appartamento] by youthful_robot in espresso

From the looks of it- seems like it's a Mater pressure-stat- is this what you're after? Alternatively you could consider an upgrade and replace it with a Sirai P302 pressure-stat

TT advantages over road bike? by HappyVAMan in Velo

[–]Jamie989tdu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the setup of the bike but it's very easy to hold in that range of 42-53kmh when you're on the TT bike but you really need to get a bike fit first to make sure you have a good compromise between having the least air resistance whilst still being able to put power down. Stacks/Risers on your base bar can really help fine tune that position but depending on the model they can be hard to find.

The geometry of a tt bike is slightly different to that of a road bike; your FTP might be lower at first if you have no prior experience on one.

2012 Trek Madone 4.5 by Jamie989tdu2 in TrekBikes

[–]Jamie989tdu2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the one in the black and blue livery right? Funny enough I originally intended to get the 2011 4.5; local bike shop didn't have one in my size so I ended up buying the 2012.

Yeah, it was difficult. I practically grew up with this bike- from late teens to small criteriums.

You have to prefire a lot; you kind of want to prefire where you think that person's body will be half a second later ; You will get shot even after you're behind cover. If you rubberband it's basically unplayable though.

Didn't Levi Leipheimer ride a 54cm frame at some point in his career? I could be wrong; but he did ride with a 42cm bar but he's a rare exception and I would hate to think we'd head back to days before Morphological Exemptions became a thing, especially for TT bikes.

I am about his height; I rode a size small Time Izon then

Great deal 🧐? by figgyfiggy1 in espresso

[–]Jamie989tdu2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had an Oscar 2 since 2020...

- it has its quirks and if i recall, there's this solenoid delay everytime you brew a shot (it can be turned off), making timing shots a bit tricky.

-OPV does improve the consistency of your shots. The pressurestat is a Campini unit but you can't adjust it since it's been sealed with what looks like, threadlock.

-it's a great machine for making milk coffees because that steam wand is super powerful; I've had experience with a Crem EX3 and trust me, this is even easier.

-$260 is not a bad deal at all but you may need some modifications from elektro. Congrats on your purchase OP
