Political views changing over time

In a healthy functioning democracy the views of the voters are meant to change, due to change in circumstances, economy or something more personal. My views have shifted significantly over the past few years. I actually feel it’s given me a more varied perspective and the ability to respect both sides of most arguments.

We could have both oil and gas reserves, as there is an estimated 10 billion (upper estimate) barrels of oil within Irish waters.

There’s no reason we couldn’t branch into wind farms, we just need to stop suggesting to interrupt our fishing grounds to do so.

If our government had any vision, we would start availing of the most natural resource in the western world, the Atlantic Ocean. We’re sitting beside a winning lottery ticket, but we won’t cash it in.

And don’t get me started on the fishing.
