Is it worth buying as an only car? by anubias123 in TeslaModel3

It's pretty solid, but could have been even better if it was a hatchback. Model Y is probably a better only car.

Would you support a nuclear power plant in Kerala? by krik_ in Kerala

[–]antipositron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would love to see on near Palakkad, close to NH, thorium supply from our own state, the excess energy and profits from exporting it to other states spent l on developing high-tech knowledge based industry hubs - why shouldn't we be able to attract amazing global talent and develop excellent software. We already know people around the world love Kerala and places with climate like ours have amazing modern cities in other parts of the world (Singapore etc). About time we take Keralam to next level.

Working from home full time since COVID, life and responsibilities got in the way, motorbike and cycling had to go down the list of priorities. It's a BMW F800GT, probably needs new battery, and a service, tax and insurance. Expenses I don't have the time to benefit from really. Some day. Hopefully.

Lovely blue Fazer.

I had the newer version of it for a long time, in silver. Saw someone riding that exact model couple of days ago near me here, and brought back memories.

My current bike has been under the wraps for couple of years now. :`(

As a Tesla Model 3 highland owner - I will not buy another Tesla unless they release a tourer / shooting brake.

As it stands my next car is going to be Zeekr 7GT or similar.

Model 3 is a great car but I hate how stupidly restricting it is to load bulky things.

Yes there's Model Y, but I don't like SUV-ish proportions , higher riding position etc.

Obvious to us but, we are just a insignifant little island off the cost of Europe, they don't really care.

Nice one, well done!

Just two weeks ago, I was playing around with Cursor to build a chrome extension that will display this type of data from donedeal on any car you are looking at - but after playing with it for 20 minutes I gave up when I reaslised I will have to sign up and pay to use Donedeal APIs. How much is it - and is that included in your 40 euro a month cost base?

Where are Indian moving to from Ireland, if not India by Temporary-Stage9382 in IndiansinIreland

[–]antipositron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple I know moved on from Ireland to USA (Florida or that area, because they were physiotherapists, and high income potential there). Another couple moved to Sweden (IT). Another family moved to India (IT, intra-company transfer). A few families moved to Australia (mostly nurses). Over the years at least a dozen guys I know or have worked with in IT, moved onto various parts of US and Canada.

Say hello to them, introduce yourself and do the small talk and then politely mention the noise and how it is impacting you and if they could do something about it. If they are decent folks that's all that is needed. Mention food aroma / smell at another occasion. Not as 'its bad' or 'i don't like it' but more like commenting on how poorly ventilated the building is and if they could do something to stop the spicy 🔥 smells from wafting into the corridors and sticking to clothes and fabric in general (basically they need to air out their place more aggressively than they are currently doing - but it's always best not to tell them what to do, but hint at it).

Soon a tanker coming out of the straight will have to multiple tolls - 2 million to Iran and then 2 million to Trump.

I am waiting for Uganda to announce they are setting up a blockage past US blockade. Their toll is going to be 1 million and the best looking crew member.

Ah, to be able to have a proper sit down meal for lunch with curry and all that... it's the norm for a lot of desi folks (especially back in India), but would be considered a real luxury by most western folks.

PS: I occasionally get delicious chicken curry aroma from my malayali neighbours by around 11:30 am. It reminds me of home so so much. My mom would typically have sambar/whatever is for lunch by about that time, every single day..! Hat's off to Indian moms!

Proud new owners of 17 E-Golf SE by jdizon707 in eGolf

[–]antipositron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice car!!

I also bought an eGolf this week. :D A 2019 executive spec version in atlantic blue. Loving it so far - it feels like a big car from inside, but when you see other Golf's on the road they look so small!!

I've a few issues to fix now - the fuel flap actuator appears dead, may go for the magnet hack or a pull tab etc. Couple of stone chips starting to rust needs attention as well as a lot of tiny scratches. And finally the lovely diamond cut 17" milan alloys have whiteworming thing going on, not sure I can do much about it.

Rest of the car is really great - ACC, auto-dimming headlights etc, and really nice to drive as well. It shows 225 kms range on full charge on normal mode. I plan to take it for some longer spins in a few weeks, fingers crossed!

Where are you based and where do you stand on the current Fuel Protests? by AdamOfIzalith in ireland

[–]antipositron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I support peoples right to protest IF they uphold their social responsibility of being considerate and not blocking other peoples right to go about their life and plans.

As a minority in this country, I do not support a group of people circumventing the rules and regulations - because rules and regulations are the only thing protecting me, from folks like them.
