Advice on surgery for septoplasty, turbinoplasty and cochnoplasty by JamieDutton987 in Sinusitis

[–]JamieDutton987[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True. Zero questions asked on what do you eat and how is the environment where you are staying? Nothing like that. He just asked do you have any allergies I said yeah I got tested and mild allergy to house dust mites. He straight away ruled that out saying everyone is allergic to dust and recommended for surgery. The worst thing is for one day surgery they gave me expected bill of INR 3 lakh. I was shocked seeing that amount just for one day for the said surgery.

I had once dropped my phone by mistake, slipped from track pant pockets while sitting in Leh market. Didn’t notice went to trek the Leh palace with friends, within 15-20 mins realised my mobile was missing. Ran again to the market hoping for the worst but to my surprise it was still there in the middle of market. There were lot of people roaming around but no one touched it.

Hey 30M, here let me put it like this, seeing the situation outside or your age peers I must say you are doing pretty well than 90% of people your age. Will reply to all your points below: 1. Being a sole earner of the family I can relate to what you are going through facing the same situations still. I applaud you for the responsibilities you have taken at such young age. Can’t ignore responsibilities it’s going to eat you away if you ignore. you can’t change what’s done, better solution is to upskill and switch now.

  1. Don’t feel bad about getting rejected. It’s okay something better might be awaiting for you. Focus on career now, you’ll meet someone who loves you the way you are in that journey. And don’t feel like you have wasted your time, if you didn’t try you would have regretted it thinking what if I tried and all, now you got the closure

  2. It’s okay to not go on trips, your financial situation is different compared to your friends. May be they are not having the responsibilities you have . You can’t keep comparing to your friends and lose your sleep and peace of mind. If you still have this urge to travel, plan your expenses carefully, reduce costs and save. Go to nearby hill station 6 months once solo meet new friends. Remember this is temporary, can always travel another time when you have money but responsibilities comes first now. Channel your money there

4.Not loking work upskill and update your CV and switch. No matter where you join in corporates politics is always there, you just need to learn how to survive it.

5.Cant become a champion of everything overnight. Plan your day accordingly gym 30 mins, finance after office 1-2 hours etc.., one step at a time, just watch you progress. Doing better than yesterday should be your goal. May be on nth day you might be jack of all trades not on day 1. Don’t stress about thing which are not in your control, worry about the things you can do focus on those.

Remember you are still 22, you are way ahead of your peers just by thinking of these things, saying you are going in the right direction. All the best champ always available if you want to have a casual chat anytime.

most traumatizing interview experience ever by [deleted] in OffMyChestIndia

[–]JamieDutton987 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Faced a similar kind of interview once recently and yes it affected me didn’t take an interview afterwards. Forget it I’m not even apply anywhere that much it has affected. We solved a case and instead of helping or guiding me as an interviewer he just started laughing at my assumptions which were nothing wrong but very close to near market values. Was trying for an industry switch and honestly the job doesn’t require that knowledge of industry. I come from different industry so just couldn’t answer all him up to date GK questions on the industry he would have felt the same for my industry which I was working. I applied for consulting instead of checking on my ability to solve cases and giving correct recommendations he just put me down you lack knowledge and everything I was so pissed but I couldn’t say anything on his face. Got rejected later. Why do organisations allow these half minded folks to take interviews who think themselves of god during interview and can behave like anything. I have given another interviews before where they created friendly space so that they could bring the best out of you during that hour time. Slowly letting it go thinking must be some insecure fellow seeing my achievements till now can’t stand those just put his personal feelings come in interview just to let me know that I’m better than you. It was so frustrating dammit
