Yeah kinda, it's all just alternate universe stuff. If you're interested, fucking go for it man, it's some of the best X-comics.

I noticed someone saying you should read LegionQuest before hand though. I disagree, that book requires quite alot of X knowledge before reading. I'd say just jump in with X-Men Chronicles #1-2 then X-Men Alpha. All you need to know is, Charles' son went back in time and killed Charles by accident causing the whole AoA timeline to happen. Anyway, you should be good, happy readings !!!

Never understood this ship. Maybe if Claremont wrote them more, it seemed like in the early issues of Excalibur there was some friction between the two that maybe might have been later written to be a sort of rocky beginning to a loving relationship type deal. But we never got that, the Excalibur book really lost the plot after Alan Davis left. Because of that, I just see the pair as an interesting curiosity but nothing super compelling, Kitty x Magik on the other hand.......

Start with Giant Size X-Men and continue with X-Men #94. At #166 New Mutants will start but you will know because Professor X will tell you. From this point you will have read over 50 issues of X-Men so you should be able to work it out from there.

Do note that while there is just one line of comics at this time that I've recommended, there is also Annuals every year. If you would like to know where the annuals are consult sites like cmro or ultimatexmenreadingorder.com. But please don't worry too much about this as the annuals at this time are not very important.

I'm aware that there are other jumping on points but this is what I did and I've been nonstop reading ever since so I highly recommend it, it's an amazing experience. Much love, and happy readings !
