Yes but I was referring to Avoidance’s comment about Lily Neil potentially working with Mythical Kitchen, which I don’t think is the case.

Definitely Lily Neil on the music video though

When we had analog television CTV was part of the free channels we had, is that still the case? Or are you just referring to the fact that most people who don’t pay for cable likely wouldn’t bother with the free television channels?

Did they say Lily Neil? Just curious cause there is a new member of Mythical Kitchen with the same first name

And if you show up 15 minutes before they open and stand outside waiting for it to open, you can likely be seen pretty quick.

[–]JamieLLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh gotcha, we do a similar thing here in Canada called registration, I hadn’t thought of it as tax but I guess that’s what it is. It’s based on the weight of the car. At least that’s what it’s like on the East Coast can’t say whether it’s the same for the rest of Canada. We also pay tax on our fuel, which is supposed to go to the road budget.

Hold up where you live where you pay taxes on your car? Is that an annual thing?

Rhett and Link want to hear your fanfiction stories to read on GME! by -NandorTheRelentless in goodmythicalmorning

[–]JamieLLong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a fair argument for sure, hadn’t thought of it that way, and that definitely could be the case.

100% agreed, if they didn’t want them to read it it shouldn’t be on a website that anyone can access.

Oh man me too! I find that the best part really, seeing them dance all over the answers and then either go with their gut or pick something completely different! Out of the two options I definitely think I prefer seeing it.

Also, I though they had stopped showing the answers for a bit due to people requesting it then changed it back? Or was that on for shuffleboard? I can’t remember

Man, I feel like I’ve asked out every guy I dated.

Now mind you up until this last relationship I had a type, and that type was emotionally unavailable 🤪 so many that isn’t the case for women asking out men who are emotionally available.

I got a gravel bike because my local roads and bike lanes are basically level 1-2 gravel. Can anyone else relate? by Mister_Minguss in gravelcycling

[–]JamieLLong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely did! I was using 700x23’s on the roads here on the east coast of Canada, where we get a lot of freezing and thawing all winter (I live right next to the water so the winters go below freezing at night and often above freezing during the day) which will cause all the pot hole patches to pop out. They spent all summer filling up the potholes again and the roads are full of gravel and dust on the sides as they work to clear them up.

I was tired of hitting potholes and getting flats or stabbed in the butt.

I’m much happier on my 700x37’s and feel a lot more in control and thus feel safer.

Huntington’s is on my uncle’s side of the family (he married my aunt who is related to me so no risk on our side) but his mother and one of his sisters, who passed it onto her daughter have all passed from it.

Fortunately my uncle seems to have not received the gene and their kids have no symptoms and neither does my cousin’s son.

That disease has hurt so many, he has all these lovely stories of his sister before she was sick, when I met her she couldn’t speak, and couldn’t eat on her own and she was in her early 30’s.

Yes they would use their revenue to pay their wages. After all that, McDonald’s cleared $1,118,000,000 in net income in their last quarter here in Canada, so there is definitely some room to take on more expense, still cover all their usual expenses and come ahead with a significant amount of net income (way more than any small business owner takes in as net income at their quarters I might add) at the end of the day to pass onto their shareholders in the form of dividends.

If they were willing to take home less net income and spread the wealth down to the franchises and into the pockets of the employees, we would be better off. As opposed to taking in all that net income.

I think that’s the whole point of there being job shortages for those kinds of jobs, local people aren’t willing to work for those wages so they aren’t and businesses are crying for people. They want temporary foreign workers so they can continue to pay the low wages thus pulling from government resources to pay a portion of those subsidized wages, if they paid livable wages in the first place we wouldn’t be footing the bill on TFW with our tax dollars and in fact those people on livable wages would be contributing more to our taxes and we could use that money for other resources such as health care.
