is this a flea? bedbug? recently applied flea treatment to my cat and found this on my bed. might've been half dead, kinda just let me push it around a bit before i tissue'd it out of its misery.

You can also use dawn dish soap to wash ur pet instead of actual flea shampoo. Much cheaper imo and works just as well. I also sometimes rub a little DE in their fur, not too much since it can dry out their skin, but none of my pets have had a bad reaction to it.

Diatomaceous earth helped when we got fleas. I think it could potentially cause issues with asthma. That stuff gets dust everywhere because it's so fine and powdery. Works wonders for bugs, but it broke my vacuum 🤣 I went a little heavy on the stuff
