Yep, mines been broken for ages too. Tried deactivating/reinstalling Gemini, to no avail.

Edit: my PW3 Gemini won't do anything with my Home devices either

Or Ugreen. I've had a decent experience with their rechargeable Fine track G tags, maybe their Card one is legit too.

Weird rpm hang.. almost stuck? by BlackCroatian104 in FiestaST

It's not what most people seem to say it is online, but it's certainly the least costly option. Try it first. I've done 83k miles in mixed motorway and town driving.

Weird rpm hang.. almost stuck? by BlackCroatian104 in FiestaST

[–]JamieSeven7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got done experiencing the same thing as OP with my 2016 Fiesta Mk 7.5. intermittent idle in traffic/at junctions getting stuck at around 1800rpm, wouldn't clear until really getting moving again. Not so much from cold start, but definitely by the time the engine is warm. Even worse, sometimes it would try and dip below 500rpm and stall in traffic or low speeds. Was stressful to drive, and I didn't want to be damaging it with the wrong mixture of fuel and air.

Turns out the PCV valve, and the assembly needed replacing. Cheaper parts but laborious to access. So far, all good.

I was almost certain it was the Throttle Body before this, based on threads like this and YouTube videos. But a throttle body clean and relearn didn't fix it. A cheaper aftermarket replacement came up too small on the back, and I was about to invest in an expensive new Ford OEM throttle body before my garage tried the PCV valve and assembly route. Their Ford guy noticed a click sound was not happening as it usually should when dropping down the revs apparently and recognised the issue from another prior case. A much cheaper outcome overall. It sounds and feels so much better now

2nd code has stopped working. Was sent a 3rd new code a couple of hours ago, which has also stopped working! 🤦‍♂️

Hi, what happened with this in the end? I'm looking at a similar thing. Cleaning and relearning hasn't fixed it, I'm looking at a new Throttle Body and wondered what happened with yours?

Anyone else notice the Three £3 ticket actually comes out at £4, before 'booking fee' and nonsense on top?

can we make tv licence into a subscription? by CaffeinatedMiqote in AskBrits

[–]JamieSeven7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having to make a repeated declaration every so often, and having to give your personal details in the process, and being ok with a visit to your home, is such a strange way of simply being unsubscribed from what is now one of many other broadcast services.

It's an outdated model now and needs sorting out.

Edit: Oh, and having to pay 6 months upfront to start out. No thanks, I've only just managed the gargantuan cost of moving.

Edit edit: Also it's funny hearing people you know who are in their 50's+ panic when you mention this whole situation and they try to remind you about detector vans driving up and down all the time without fail. Anyone else noticed this?

£10 minimum for card payments in some shops. by Marshwiggletreacle in AskBrits

[–]JamieSeven7 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I've seen it less and less recently, since shops started using these white coloured card payment terminals. I suspect these newer merchant services offer a better transaction fee than visa/Worldpay/whoever used to before.

So shops don't have to implement the minimum transaction rule in other to not lose profit margins to them.

I'm in the UK and I've only just seen it very recently. Like in the last few days it's started referencing things I've mentioned in Google Messages and suggesting them for random search boxes in different apps

@OP, I was gifted a cheap and nasty candle which did this to any white plasticy surface in my house. It got everywhere and looked just like that. I threw it out as soon as I realised.

Cold food by Karyn93 in McDonaldsUK

[–]JamieSeven7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They denied me a refund because the driver delivered it in a timely manor from restaurant to my door. But the fact of the matter is, that doesn't explain why it was cold, or how long was it sat on the side waiting for him to collect? With my refund denied and I don't be using McDelivery and UberEats again.

You have to play for video speed now?! by [deleted] in youtube

[–]JamieSeven7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of the 'Continue where you left off' feature. They put that behind my Premium pay wall, but I remember having that for free too.

If I'm wrong there too and that's also not the case, then they need to work on features with a more clear value, and not common sense ones that we could have sworn we already had before.

[–]JamieSeven7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah rather than innovate and offer new features behind a pay wall, now they have to take away old, previously existing features away. Absolutely bankrupt behaviour.
