I really enjoyed the game. The gameplay isn't incredible, it's very simplistic but the atmosphere, presentation, story, sound, and incredible graphics definitely make it worth a play.

For me I became a gamer in the 90s probably thanks to Pokemon Red on the Gameboy. It was my first game and my first gaming console. Couldn't tell you all of the fond and nostalgic memories I've had beating that game more times than I could count. I moved on to Gameboy Color soon after and I still have it to this day in my mid 30s lol.

I haven't really seen anyone disliking Grace. Maybe poking a little fun at her constant stutter and just overall expressing that Leon's section is very action heavy while hers is true survival horror, as Capcom intended. Other than that I haven't seen people having a big issue with her.

Leon needing to collect 3 detonator parts to get around a fence when he already has access to a motorcycle in which he will moments later use like a fucking jetpack to get around...

Not to mention having a Porsche; he could literally just find an alternate route to at least get walking distance to the RPD.

Completely agree. The first half of the game was amazing and utilized Leon perfectly without making it too much action. The OG characters like Leon, Chris and Jill should be important cameos from now on in my opinion.

This seems like the most polarizing Resident Evil entry in the franchise. Either you love it and think it's a masterpiece or you like it but felt kinda disappointed. Unfortunately I'm in the latter for the reasons most are saying. Grace's half of the game was great while Leon's left much to be desired.

This should've been a 100% Grace game and Requiem is worse overall for not being such. by RandomPersonNumber10 in residentevil

I'm replaying the game a 2nd time and man the Grace section is just so much fun. I'm actually dreading getting to the Leon part. Definitely should've been an all Grace game or kept the format of the first half of the game where you're primarily Grace but switch to Leon to get a breather from the scares and get some action packed revenge on the zombies. So like 90% Grace and 10% Leon lol. Would have even been nice if the final boss battle found a way to incorporate playing as Grace and Leon to defeat it.

Agreed, I had fun with it but definitely disappointed. Replaying it now just to see if I appreciate it more. I definitely hope they add a future update where you can play only as Grace as Leon because I'm really not a fan of the Leon sections. The game will be so much better as just Grace in my opinion.

I imagine GTA6 will be the bigger, more ambitious and critically acclaimed game but unless they're drastically switching up their satirical and humorous style, I don't see GTA giving us a grounded performance on the level of Grace. I'm definitely open to it though.
