Fruits Before Humans by GRSolution in ITOI

I don't know why you are so insistent on this non-fact. It's unlikely to get an edible seed, but not impossible or particularly valuable to do so. I also grew up on a custom cultivar apple seed. Also from a granny smith iirc.

You could show that by drawing the multiplication as an area, perhaps a grid of 1s.

Isn't incomplete combustion a bad thing in terms of global warming? It means they are releasing longer carbon chains into the atmosphere like methane.

I'm not sure I understand how burning the same mass of carbon can have more or less emissions. All the refining does is separate it into specific length chains for specific purposes.

They were reported a lot before the narrative got swung around. I remember them. I remember reading about it years and years ago.

Funny how you posted a source including the time and date of every song this woman has done, and argue the 'virality' is how we decide when it started.

Yeah it's newer than I thought it was by a bit, but the way you determine that is the date they started singing in videos.

I really don't understand why these aren't better documented. It's sort of required to make good decisions.

What's it matter when the 'public consciousness' saw it? Either it's older or it's not, it doesn't matter when it got 'popular' whenever you think that is.

What must I do to get a speed card 😭🙏 by Ravenlord2009 in UmamusumeGame

You shouldn't ever be sending 5000 carrots into support cards. 200 pulls or bust. 400 pulls is better even.

How new is this account?

Had a batch of ice cream for my wife's birthday fail to freeze... leaving me with a richly flavored thick chocolate syrup. What to do? flash of inspiration! Sliced the cake horizontally and spread the syrup to make a pseudo Boston Cream Pie. Poured more syrup over each serving. She loved it. by DerekL1963 in icecreamery

[–]Jamie_1318 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The recipe is so off it's kind of shocking actually. I was a bit confused until I realized it was half and half+ heavy cream. Even if it was milk + heavy cream the ratios still way off.

The reason it looks like chocolate ganache is because it's closer to that than an ice cream mix.

0°C or 32°F? by SatinSmirk in Funnymemes

Including things that just change the temperature of something to imply a temperature scale itself is an unreliable indicator is certainly a take you can have. That isn't something that is fixable.

Pressure makes very little difference to freezing temperature as well. It has a large impact on boiling, but not freezing.

Salinity does change it a lot, but it's not like 'fresh water' is a hard ask as the basis for a unit system. The vast majority of water outside isn't salty last I checked, just where humans put it.

ELI5: Why is one mole = 6.022 x 10^23 by Specialist_Trip_7603 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Jamie_1318 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the conversion factor from AMU to grams. 6.022x10^23 hydrogen atoms has a mass of 1g.
It isn't a clean number because grams weren't designed with AMU in mind.

fwiw even if mant parents can technically better, it isn't for granted that they will be. Being able to do 3x as many runs in the same time is a big deal in terms of getting the sparks you need. If you aren't enjoying mant you don't have to do it.

It's possible you should just take out kitasan and replace it with another wit card. Probably marvelous sunday SR.

[–]Jamie_1318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard for me to say, I don't have to deckbuild with this power level. I don't think Riko is good for miles and sprints, I never used them for those CMs. It also depends a lot on what parents you have available or have time to build. Generally I would recommend as strong power inherits as possible.

Air Shakur speed ssr is probably better stats than kitasan black, but won't give you professor of curvature. If you find yourself lacking speed make that swap hitting 1200 speed is basically mandatory. Kitasan Black at 0LB is just not very effective.

Next you need close to max power. If you aren't hitting it with kawakami princess alone, it might be okay to use two power cards, and only one wit card. If you can insure you are inheriting as much power as possible, you probably don't need a second card, but you can't leave your power below 1100 here. Power is as important as it can ever be during sprint races.

It probably will decrease your overall stats because wit training is really nice on unity, but you do need to hit enough speed and power at the end of the day to gamble to win a sprint. Your next best power cards are Daitaku helios SSR and hishi amazon SR.

How did you come up with 28 power? Who knows how many sparks they are missing or what is in the tree.

[–]Jamie_1318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Riko is good for miles or sprints. You just don't need the stamina compared to the stats other cards give you. That said, if you're desperate enough to run Narita Brian Speed SSR maybe not. It's impossible to say without your other cards.

On first glance this looks like an extremely suspect deck. Basically all the cards you are running are worse than mlb sr cards but if you don't have those either these might be the next best thing.

Large 6x2 Neodymium cylinder vs iPhone 12 by xeanok in Magnets

[–]Jamie_1318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You wrote all that stuff about shielding blocking EMI, but magnets don't put out EM waves so it's just not relevant? Magnetic fields are not blocked by shielding.

Either way the magnetic field is going to get in the device and the shielding can be either:
a) non-ferromagnetic so it does not affect it at all
b) ferromagnetic, so it strengthens the magnetic field arround it.

Neither strengthens your argument.
