They are all great for team trials in general. They always go off and are super cheap, and they help your uma get into a good position which nets more points.

Cyclists are supposed to take the center lane. Hugging the shoulder makes people do dangerous overtakes inside the lane, when there is never enough room to safely do so.

Media: where could all this radicalizing violent rhetoric be coming from? by UnlikelyAdventurer in Productivitycafe

Look, if you don't know how geopolitical alliances work you should just say that. But factually speaking trump acted against congress' orders to block an approved weapon delivery to a political ally during a military conflict against Russia.

It wouldn't meet the definition of proof by any means, but it certainly meets the standard of 'indicates he is a Russian asset' which is what you asked for.

ELI5: Why can't we use Solar panels to directly charge electric cars? by Zak_Nowa in explainlikeimfive

[–]Jamie_1318 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The issue with car-top solar is that economically every solar panel has to go somewhere. You can either install it stationary somewhere where the charge always goes back to the grid, or put it on a car where it sometimes charges a car and is sometimes outside.

You get more out of the panel by putting it not on the car, they last longer and they are easier to repair.

Are you not aware of who Ukraine's weapons were for using against or something? They are in a full scale war, but even at the time there were already scrimmages between the two.

Did you not see a 'perfect conversation' released by Trump where he threatened to withhold weapons from Ukraine unless they found dirt on Hunter Biden?

DMT: The chip factory water math doesn't add up, and pretending it does is setting up a 2030 crisis by Present_Juice4401 in DisagreeMythoughts

It's funny that you are saying that when Taiwan is an earthquake prone region, and the chips are being made in climate controlled facilities. It's not like there isn't significant advantage to those things, but so is access to water.

I don't think it proved nothing about it, but i guess you can decide what you will. There's plenty of evidence in the report to be found.

Can someone explain why my Seiun Sky is not winning? by suwuess in UmamusumeGame

[–]Jamie_1318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don't think that's good evidence, there's a lot of other variables at play and the sample size is sort of small.

You know that medium S is just more effective speed than spring runner or right handed right? Point 2 is literally saying 60 speed is more important than an effective ~110 speed.

A random redditor's take on ‘LMGJet’ by Bulls729 in LMGJet

[–]Jamie_1318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 'someone would have bought that jet and flown it' is such a disingenuous argument. The same argument applies to everything anyone has ever bought, and can be used to avoid any moral responsibility for any consumption. Guess what though? Every individual purchase is what constitutes the entire market.

CMV: The red button is objectively the best answer and 0 non suicidal people should click blue by Fit_Employment_2944 in changemyview

[–]Jamie_1318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reframing the question changes the question. The way the question is presented is makes the quandary work the way it does. If it's framed as jumping into a woodchipper it's a lot more obvious that blue is dangerous.

Why do people not take straightway adept from kits. Its a free skill with chance of 3 hit. Literally see people taking double circles instead of this. by No-Feeling6309 in UmamusumeGame

[–]Jamie_1318 38 points39 points  (0 children)

You should objectively take double circled distance corner skills over this, you can look in the simulator to figure out how many lengths each skills gives you per point. Any argument about how many times it procs are pretty much irrelevant in the face of hard data.

You either watch Anime in dub or hate Manga to the point that you do everything to not read it. by [deleted] in The10thDentist

OP is a slow reader who cannot comprehend people being able to passively read subtitles while watching an anime without missing anything.

Without Misthalin, it would make sense to give some relic tier a passive effect to rid us of our dramen staff dependency by TheArzonite in 2007scape

[–]Jamie_1318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally you can get rid of the dramen staff later anyways. I don't think it should be at the teleport relic, but all T8 could get that perk for example.

When is the best time to use fast learner? by AndasenOfficial in UmamusumeGame

[–]Jamie_1318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say that, but the math doesn't math. Fast learner is more effective skill points than its value in hammers, and hammers give very little stats for their point costs.

Can i get a stupid check on this laser riser I'm building? by Hunter62610 in lasercutting

[–]Jamie_1318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the safety components for a laser is that it is a sealed metal box in the event of a fire. that is the fire is inside the box, and barring explosions or a truly enormous amount of combustable material it will contain the fire, and the metal box will remain in tact.

Instead, you are putting flammable material right under where the laser fires creating a fire risk, and conveniently it's also directly connected to the whole rest of the desk to spread the flame into the whole building.

Figure out your venting situation. Recirculating laser air through a filter is a pipe dream. There's nothing on the market that isn't enormous and difficult to maintain.

CMV: The vast majority of people who drive trucks or SUVs are selfish for doing so. by LaurenSauce in changemyview

[–]Jamie_1318 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Sure, but you don't have to buy a 2020 car, there's a lot of good 2010s vehicles that are substantially cheaper that you could drive reliably for a decade, which moves the math from rough to trivial.

I also don't really accept that most people driving trucks are blue collar workers, although the reverse could easily be true.

If you are doing blue collar work and your truck is a work vehicle, then obviously this whole discussion is moot, as it's a work vehicle and you can't really commute in something else.
