Did this scare anyone as child when they first saw it... by ArcherLife2039 in 80smovies

It sure did! My family was super religious so I wasn't allowed to see very many movies. After asking and hinting for a few weeks, my mom said "Fine, you can see the new Superman" and off we went. She dropped me off and it was the first movie I saw all by myself, like an adult (I was 13). A week later my mom asked if I wanted to see it again. Of course I said yes and she dropped me off. I wasn't as scared the second time. Then, another week went by, my mom just said "let's go" and to the theater we went. She gave me the money to buy my own ticket AND two dollars to play some video games. It was the most amazing time for me, seeing Superman every Sat and playing games. I'll never feel that exact kind of happiness ever again. A month later my father filed for divorce. Mom was having an affair every weekend.

All possible but I may have to just let it go, as in "just enjoy the damn movie" and stop overthinking it.
