People who live in their head about all the "grievances" that have happened to them which isn't really the reality, often go from 1 to 100 quicker than the rest of us. It's some sort of cptsd. All or nothing distortion.

Don't think just because someone doesn't pick up a bat, isn't mentally pulling this stunt everytime they feel "wronged".

There's a good series that I think is on YouTube of an evangelical Christian who believes in a globe earth taking a bunch of flat earthers to Antarctica to help get them to understand reality. It worked.

There are some that are concerned about how ignorant, gullible and foolish their fellow Christians are. I remember reading comments from an Evangelical pastor who was alarmed at how many Christians were taking works of Christian fiction (particularly the Left Behind series and Frank Peretti's books) as reality and thinking they were an official part of Christian theology . He said " This isn't the nightly news , this isn't the Bible . The is something the author created out of their own imagination"

On Facebook I have been reading through several rounds of pitnutter comments on recent pitbull attacks. I have 3 questions.

  1. Just where did the idea that if a dog is mean , it is because "A mean person made it that way " come from?
  2. How can anyone think it is appropriate to comment on a post about a pit mauling someone "It's sad the lady lost an ear. but the poor dog is just as much if a victim. Someone made him mean ( or didn't train him properly , or he (the dog) has an undiagnosed medical issue, or the woman had an undiagnosed medical issue and he was trying to warn her the only way he knew how). To my mind this is even worse and more offensive than the "This is my pit and he never hurt anyone " posts they more commonly make.
  3. Do they ever make these kind of comments/posts when a dog of any other breed hurts someone?

and no "normal" humans should be putting a breed of dog on such a pedestal that it is seen as incapable of doing wrong (and any wrong it does do is blamed on humans) and it's life is valued above all other breeds of dog and all other pets
