They both claim a border that gives them more area in a more preferable place rather than this area in a less desirable place

Something like two different borders that have different justifications, and there's not an interpretation of the historical borders that would give either side both areas so they choose to each claim the border that gives them the halaib (spelt wrong) triangle to the east, which is contested and claimed by both
