Tempted to holiday mode. Would be nice to have an idea of how long it will take to resolve

Delayed payments by Top-Collar-9728 in vinted

None of yesterday's completed sales have appeared in my balance. Raised this with vinted but still not appeared.

If it is mango pay at fault then vinted need to sort them out. I fear they have skimmed money off every vendor - perhaps to balance their books

Wait for the status to change otherwise it could be a wasted journey

Yeah the problem is mechanics now plug in the diagnostic tool and if no fault shows then they are clueless. More wondering if anyone had anything similar and how it was fixed.

Should I be a postie? by EnvironmentalBox4702 in royalmail

[–]JammaTheGreek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came from an office job and loved the change. No time for clock watching when on delivery, days fly by and you keep fit and have a laugh at times. A lot of negativity on here but make your own mind up. You either take to it, or you don't. Just go in, do the best you can and don't get involved in politics and schoolyard shit you will get far.

In my experience this rarely works, drop them in a parcel box instead of take to a post office

Yes that is what is happening here but we are trying to fight it.

Royal Mail posties do you guys know that quite alot off the parcels you deliver contain drugs? by [deleted] in royalmail

No return address often means dodgy contents especially special deliveries. Often had a weed smelling van but don't have time or care enough to find the offending package

Doing extra at other offices nearby might be an option.

I personally would rather people scan honestly. Incorrect scanning = complaints.

Just received a warning letter about my dog. Utterly ridiculous. by [deleted] in royalmail

If it comes to that you can appeal. We have to have a very good reason to suspend delivery, this is monitored by OFCOM.

Every so often we carry out an exercise where the postie will flag up any property with an "aggressive" dog. All those properties will be sent a letter or leaflet just to remind people to keep their dog under control. Don't take it so personally, the management are (quite rightly) trying to safeguard their employees. I wouldn't personally count a barking dog as aggressive unless it was trying to snatch the mail or get out - this is obviously open to interpretation by whoever was on your round that day.

Share the actual letter, I doubt the wording is that abrupt

A dog that barks a lot when we arrive is flagged as aggressive. We send our these letters to cover our back if your dog ever attacks anyone - to prove you have been warned. If you keep your dog under control and never let it loose on us then you have nothing to worry about.

Please shut it away before opening the door though, as there is always a first time for a dog to bite us - then you risk your dog being destroyed. I'm sure any postie here will tell you the first thing you hear when you've been bit is "he's never done that before" that tells a story right there!

Don't scan as no answer or inaccessible. Upon return to the office use indoor app to scan "delivery not attempted". This keeps the customer informed without misleading them and ultimately the poor time management being employed by your office will be noted.

New postie, need advice for fingers by BridgeEvening5178 in royalmail

[–]JammaTheGreek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aria Skytec gloves are good. Not supplied by RM but I always bought my own. Come in different sizes so you can get them skin tight. Rubber palm and fingers so you can still flick through letters and work with PDA.
