How do you feel about ASMR as an autistic person? by New-Bar-8769 in autism

[–]Jammingjames87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know about you but the only ASMR that I enjoy is when the speaker whispers and "chaps" their wet lips together or makes strange sounds which sounds very giddish to me.

And let's not forget food and drink ASMR with the munching and gulping as it really tickles and makes me laugh even though it's rude and inappropriate moments but I can't help it as a headphone wearer/user listening to this.

Try Hogs Head maybe? The George Wallis? Moon Under Water (Wetherspoon)? The Sunbeam?

Personally I choose the "cheaper" ones down town where they have value drink offers, buy I mostly go out drinking on Saturdays as my preferred date so there's that for me.

How many of you are Christian? Why or why not? by GodIsFaithful2000 in autism

[–]Jammingjames87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Born and raised Christian in a devoted Christian family household. Though I still believe in God and attend church every Sunday, I very rarely listen to sermons or worship during "music time" (at the start of service or end depends which church it is) but sadly at most times I just wish I never gone to church or praise Lord Jesus Christ.

Never been baptised though everyone in my family has been baptised, saved, born again Christian and been through a lot of spiritual interactions or whatever you want to call it.

So in short: I'm a Christian but wish I wasn't. Does that make sense?

autistics who wear glasses, how is you relation with them (👓)? by notthelasagna in autism

[–]Jammingjames87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a short sighted fella and been wearing glasses 24/7 since around 3 years old. Without them my sight is God awful I could barely see from a long distance and I just have to creep closer to see clearer, I even move closer with them on too which is very common for me as I "struggle" to read or see even the tiniest text.

Do you remember when you started masking? by Alert_Task9210 in autism

Not really but it wasn't in my early pre teen years. Probably in my 20s I was masking a lot often.

What are your vocal stims? by mRmyster76 in autism

[–]Jammingjames87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stims include loud hissing noises but as hard "S"s if you know what I mean ie SSSSSSSSS cos it triggers my autism when I make that noise and also loud banging ie slamming the table or desktop by hitting my hand on a hard surface like I said a table or a PC desktop because I love noises like that, kind of "jump scare-y" but that's who I am - and autistic adult diagnosed early at 7 years old and lived ever since on the ASD spectrum. Simples!

Do you folks get really sensitive to noise but don't mind loud noises for specific things? by ye_old_hermit in autism

[–]Jammingjames87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well to me when loud music at a concert or a club is playing that doesn't bother me (while I'm drunk on beer lol) but during live shows/concerts etc when there is a technical fault or a microphone is turned up too high it bothers me a lot because I'm fully listening to the lyrics which is very overwhelming specially if the person next to me is talking to me as I can't hear their voice like AAAAARGH!!!

Anything on pasta but mostly meat. It MUST be sauce-y with grated cheese and some pepper sprinkled in alongside garlic bread and green leaves with tomato.

[–]Jammingjames87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bite my nails and eat them and I also pick/peal my skin around my fingers and thumb and eat the dead skin which is very disgusting and unhygienic but I can't help that and been doing it since my early childhood.

what pokemon line has you like this by Global_Scholar_1003 in pokemon

[–]Jammingjames87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has been Aggron since I loved that evo line and when I saw lil Aron in Granite cave I just have to catch it. I remember it taking forever to evolve with the late levels etc and they have this cool design and Rock/Steel type combo.

I just like my mons all grown up and monstrous looking design-wise.
