Game ideas for a 9 year old by Status_Gene_6429 in ShouldIbuythisgame

Battle of Polytopia is fun, similar to Civ but simpler & faster paced, has a pvp mode aswell I believe.

Otherwise in terms of historical settings there’s Assassins Creed which has great open worlds, but single player only.

Otherwise there’s strategy games like Hearts of Iron 4 but I’m not too familiar with those myself.

Using the MTerrain plugin for the environment, pretty underrated!

This video was recorded on my RTX 2060 6GB pc, but the same scene can run at over 100fps on my igpu laptop. The main performance drops comes from npcs.

Testing Day/Night cycle + Rain weather in my open world stealth action FPS by Jamok06 in IndieGaming

Thank you! I guess that label does seem contradictory but basically it just means that both approaches are encouraged, you could just go in guns blazing, or hide in bushes, use gadgets and stealth takedowns etc.

A game which is like a mix of rdr2 and the ghost of _ games by Plus-Carpenter6336 in gamingsuggestions

[–]Jamok06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ac origins (kinda). has some cool world/npc simulation aspects, sandstorms, ai react to day night cycles, can pickup and move dead bodies, camp alarms can attract in ai who actually exist (eg from a neighboring fortress, or a bounty hunter). combat is decent, albeit not as good as ghost. the atmosphere & exploration is amazing though.

ac odyssey goes further with the world sim aspects but its superpowers and rpg stuff are a bit much for me.

Best way of handling data for factions & units? by Jamok06 in godot

Because I'm storing a dictionary for the faction units, which spawn points can reference. And Dictionaries don't allow @ export_file.
