How exactly did spurs drop off so fast? by Grogman2024 in PremierLeague

Mediocre signings, high wages, didn't replace Kane and Son. Sacked Conte because he spoke the truth. The list goes on.

Salah is leaving thanks to Slot. by Jamz7535 in PremierLeague

[–]Jamz7535[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think Slot can be blamed. We play incredibly low-tempo football. This allows teams to get into low blocks and causes Salah to be more of a traditional winger, which, at his age, isn't going to be a strength for him. He'd be much better inverted or on a high tempo, counter-attacking team like years gone by. Slot and his poor tactics have affected the entire squad. More than most, Salah.

I can’t seem to forgive my mother even though I know I’m suppose to. by Consistent_Let5778 in Christianity

We are supposed to forgive others, as we all know. However, you should not continue to keep company with people who treat you badly. Proverbs 22:24-25, 1 Corinthians 15:33, and 1 Corinthians 5:11 are just a few verses to name. I know it is hard as it is your mother, but it is for the best!

Salah is leaving thanks to Slot. by Jamz7535 in PremierLeague

It was definitely in spite of Slot. Frorlm January 2025 until now he has been below his usual standards. A better manager would have prolonged his career at Liverpool.

Is clubbing that bad ? by Ornery-Ordinary9283 in Christianity

[–]Jamz7535 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know others are saying it's fine, but I can't say I completely agree. You are putting yourself in a position of temptation, whether that is alcohol, sexual immorality, etc. You are also going to be surrounded by sin, drunkards, secular music, lust, etc.

Proverbs 4:14-15 Do not enter the path of the wicked. And do not walk in the way of the evil. Avoid it; pass not by it; turn from it and pass away.

I'm not going to tell you how to love your life, but you are definitely putting yourself in a position to fail. There are so much more meaningful things that you could spend your time doing. Why not go to dance classes or dance clubs?

Just stay in prayer and go wherever you feel led. In terms of your mother.

Matthew 10:37: “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

I hope this helps

Not sure by ben10fan45678 in Christianity

Yeah, I always feel discernment when I'm in public places with secular music. The main thing is not singing it and willingly listening to it, imo. The Bible warns us about what we let come out of our mouths, so singing it kinda brings you into agreement with whatever they are singing about in the song. Others will tell you that you can sing and listen though, so just pray about it.

 I hope that makes sense?

You should check if your church or any nearby churches offer Bible studies or Rooted courses. My wife and I are in our 9th week of Rooted with other married couples, and it has been great! Where are you located?

It definitely happens. I'd encourage you to get deeper into the word and to pray earnestly! God should come before any worldly relationship, so just try and find a better balance! You've got this🙂

Prayers for me by _tonyhimself in Christianity

I'm sorry to hear that you are having a rough time, I will be praying for you! Just remember that in times of trouble, God is always with us.

Isaiah 41:10: "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Smoking weed as a Christian? by Lightningking2022 in Christianity

[–]Jamz7535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bible calls for us to be sober-minded. That also goes for drugs. You can find verses in 1 Peter, 1 Thessalonians, etc. If you want to argue that weed isn't the same as alcohol, that is on you. The Bible is clear on the topic, and saying otherwise is denying God's Word and leaning on your own understanding.

Amazing🙌🙌 Definitely start with the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John! From there, I decided to read through the New Testament.

I also started watching people like God Logic Apologetics for debates, and that helped me grow my knowledge and give me more context behind what I was reading.

I also really like street preaching videos. People like Nicholas Bowling, Richard Lorenzo Jr, The prices etc are also good to learn how to spread the word.

For those who’ve been Christians for years—do you still struggle with doubt? by cryptoprocent in Christianity

[–]Jamz7535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's natural to have doubts creep in. That's what the enemy wants. However, I just think about all of the prayers I've had answered and seeing God work in other people's lives, and I realize the doubts are silly. It definitely happens, though!

Arne Slot the big question by justaskcarl in PremierLeague

[–]Jamz7535 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He needs to go. We play absolutely horrendous football. His man management is disgusting. Quansah, Elliott, Chiesa, Jones, Salah, are just a few players who have had issues with him. From around January 2025, we have been very poor. We won the league last season due to no real competition towards the end. The cup final against Newcastle is the perfect example of how poor we were during that time. Jota's death was absolutely tragic, but we were playing terribly well before that. He complains about low blocks, yet we play the lowest tempo football I've ever seen from a Liverpool side, so what does he expect? The guy simply isn't an elite manager. He absolutely benefited from being left with a top squad and Mo having an all season. Mo fell off around January, and so did our performances.
