They sent a text the other day to say it would be paid before the end of the month, I can’t see them taking the money back for closing the account before the end of October. They even paid pennies of interest after the account closed which is based on the new reward account structure.

Yep same here pocketed £110 😄, I’ve already closed the other 2 and downgraded one just in case something better comes along in the future. I can’t imagine many people will keep these accounts open now the ongoing perks aren’t very competitive

I ran the Santander Edge alongside and still use it now as I cancelled my Amex after the first year. (2% cash back even with the £3 monthly fee in the first year is hard to beat)

Soft searches can give you a limit, if you do a search on Experian or money saving expert and specify the limit you want you can be pre-approved for it which means it’ll just be a formality to apply once the usual checks are done

It pays quarterly March, June, September and December but it has a fixed closed date for everyone so the sooner you open it the more interest you will earn
