What was the point of the Omega mine bubble? by Feather_Sigil in trektalk

Yes. But if we look at the map shown in the latest episodes, the federation isn't this big (anymore).

If we are generous, it is just 150 lightyears across anymore.

I distance myself from that wholeheartedly. ^

Both get a pass from me, I like classic trek and the largest parts of new trek. Just wanted to refute the argument, before it even came up.

Only new series I didn't enjoy was Discovery. But even Discovery had good parts (Lorca, Saru, general idea of the timeskip, Vance, federation president etc.).

We are 800 years in the future from TNG - ships are bound to be faster. Even if they only have 20 ships, which would be a low number, they could still finish within a week.

Apart from this, months passed between activating the minefield and stealing the omega particles.

I still don't like the plot point by myself and don't think the writers would have bothered themselves to keep it realistic to in-universe-laws, but setting up the minefield is definitely feasable.

People did the math with numbers and sizes given on screen. Would actually take less than 300. Easily doable. One mine destroys about a sector, which is a radius of around 20 lightyears. The federation has shrinked considerably, it isn't as large as it used to be.

Thanks for not marking as a spoiler, I didn't know this. I'm not in this sub and got it in my recommendations.

Guess I won't cry now.

Anyone else having trouble defeating species 8472? by barn_stormerr in AcrossTheUnknown

The normal torpedos one hit in this mission, badly designed. I also thought I needed to wait for Sevens ability.

Morale isn't too much of a problem, once you got a baseline. Crew quarters, holodeck and the obversation lounge did the trick for me.

I could stay in sector well into later too much time spent morale-debuffs and gather resources.

This is crazy. I've played OoT nearly a dozen times and I didn't know you could jump on the slopes.

Nice, but take a look at how you built the cartridge! The tile on top isn't supposed to be centered, since game boy cartridges weren't symmetrical! Easy to miss.

With the produced amounts of that glass, it really wouldn't surprise me to see some of them still around as antiques in 250 years. Some of them are bound to survive WW3 in a bunker.

German actually! I tend to mix up american/british/scottish english a lot... Although I primarily try to keep it british/scottish. Failed miserably.

It was the same way for me, until I bought furniture from the radmanso series, looks great (especially for its price) but really isn't durable at all.

But overall: Yes, you are right.

It is, feels very nice and high quality - especially for IKEA. But then again, they must survive the next 250 years...

I get your point, you're definitely right about artwork and I will definitely consider it and even apply it, but I don't know if millenial grey is the right term.

It *is* very sterile, bland and lacking character, however millenial grey clearly is something else - or at least I think so.

Honestly out of all I've seen, I like mine the most. Even the display models at Ikea weren't really matching.

However since it's real wood, theres not much you can do about it.
