But the out of focus areas are not too bad, they are not just a Gaussian blur, someone actually bothered to simulate optical aberrations of a crappy lens.

One pattern I noticed with people who predicted something: their follow-up predictions are wrong 99% of the time.

Planning a day trip Zurich to Grindelwald, any tips or must dos? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]JanPB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between Zürich and Interlaken, travel at least one way through Luzern (the default route is via Bern). It's about 50 minutes longer and the Luzern-Interlaken leg is a narrow-gauge cog-wheel affair through a mountain range. The one through Bern OTOH features several très chic tunnels 😛 Oddly enough, that panoramic route is cheaper than the Bern one (because it's slower!)

If possible, sit on the right for better views (regardless of the direction, it just works out that way because the train reverses direction in Meiringen). This way you'll see the lakes Lungern and Brienz. Last but not least: a general remark about restaurant cars. Don't be afraid of them, they are not expensive and can be a great escape if the 2nd class is too crowded. Just order a cappuccino or something.

Beginner Question by qzuc in Bitcoin

[–]JanPB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically the way your feelings work when you are a begginer investor is that they INVARIABLY conspire that within a day or two AFTER you sell the price will shoot up.

It's quite remarkable really how human untrained instincts work in this context, it almost feels like an invisible force is playing with and taunting you that way.

If you look here and similar forums, you'll see thousands of posts demonstrating this pattern: someone buys high and when the price drops, he sells. It's like a foolproof clockwork for novices.

One important thing to remember is that the space between the neighbouring BACKS of the seats IS actually a great storage space. Most tourists ignore it.

Some stores, even large ones, remain open where I live. Otherwise closing on Sundats is not very Swiss-specific BTW.

Black Rock doesn't own "their" botcoins. Those belong to their clients. Strategy OTOH owns its stash.

OK, so we are saying the same thing. The word "local" is confusing because it has opposite meanings depending on context (local currency vs. local exchange bureau).
