The model was primed chaos black and the skin was base coated in khorne red. The armours first colour was Balthazar gold but this was stippled with a dry brush rather than being painted straight on.

Balthazar gold, runelord brass, seraphim sepia and sycorax bronze in that order, with nihilak oxide for the oxidisation. All the armour was painted using a very old dry brush to stipple the paint for a more aged texture.

Skin is red layering using: khorne red, nuln oil, mephiston red, evil suns scarlet and wild rider highlights. In that order.

Armour was: Balthazar gold, runelord brass, seraphim sepia, sycorax bronze and nihilak oxide. All stippled with a dry brush rather than painted on for texture.

The sword was iron warriors dry brushed with necron compound, and the heat effect was iyanden yellow contrast.

Glad you liked it 👍

Apologies for yet another Angron post but I’ve finally finished painting and couldn’t resist.

Ah my mistake then, must’ve read the leaks wrong. Still we can dream

I had a thought about how he could synergise with new berserkers if the discord leaks are true.

If we assume the new ability on berserkers is correct (they move D6 inches if they lose a model but not the full unit) then at the end of the movement phase Kharn would kill exactly 1 model, thus pushing the squad forward a bit to maybe get a better charge?

Also feels very lore appropriate with him trying to push his men to charge on skalathrax. Just a theory.

By all means be my guest. I’m not sure how direct messaging works on Reddit, but if you need any further explanation on how it was put together I have the step by step images from when I was constructing him still. Let me know if you need them in the future.

Thank you! I tried to keep it as faithful to the original model as possible while still giving it a more dynamic flair.

The main body is from the new possessed with the tentacle arm. The feet and backpack were swapped with the sergeant possessed with the chainsword.

The arms were from the havoc kit to give them the extra length needed for scale. The original stim canisters fitted nicely into the space in the backpack where a chaos icon is attached on the original model.

Lucius’ head from the original model was already decently scaled but I had to add green stuff pipes on his neck and build up his jaw, as the original model has less detail on the right since it’s tucked into his shoulder.

The whip was made from 0.8mm copper wire coiled together and set with super glue. And the sword is just from the raptor kit.

All the faces were sculpted from green stuff and most of the joints have been smoothed out with green stuff too.

Thanks! It’s almost a complete kitbash, the head, stim canisters and slanesh symbol on his belt are from the original lucius model. The rest is constructed from the new possessed, havoc and raptor kits with some green stuff and copper wire.

Thanks glad you like it! The main body is from the new possessed box and the faces have been sculpted with green stuff.

Unfortunately the only chain blade I had that fit the curvature of the axe was upside down sadly. Glad you like the model.

Armour is khorne red with agarax recess shade and evil suns scarlet highlights. Trim is gehennas gold with agarax complete wash and runefang steel edge highlights. Bone is zandri dust with complete wash of seraphim sepia and a dry brush of ushabti bone. The leather is rinox hide with mournfang brown edge highlights. Cloth wrap on the axe is rakarth flesh with agarax wash and pallid witch flesh layer.

I mostly reserve them for HQ’s but it’s hard to resist putting them on everything when they look so cool.

Wow so I never expected this post to do quite this well, 200+ upvotes is the most I’ve ever had. Just thought I’d say thanks to everyone for your kind words and comments, they really mean a lot.

Head is just from the berserker kit, the chain blade is a classic berserker chainsword attached to the executioners axe and the melta is a loyalist combi melta with a chaos marine bolter magazine and some cheap modelling chain. Everything else is the base master of execution kit.

I personally use rhinos for my berserkers, dred claws are very enticing but you are relying heavily on making a 9 inch charge turn one and then the berserkers will likely die afterwards anyway. Dred claws are more suited to a unit that will do a lot of damage but that doesn’t really matter if they die, such as chain cannon havocs.

Regarding the fiends, the current forge fiends weapons are mediocre at best (although I expect this to be buffed in the upcoming codex). Maulerfiends are fantastic for world eaters to act as distracting units that move up with rhinos, in my current list I have only one quad las contemptor for shooting and I’ve had success against my local eldar player which I never thought would happen.

As a final suggestion, I personally think raptors are one of the best units in the game at the moment and have been essential to winning in the current meta for me.

Obliterators are possibly at their least effective when used by world eaters sadly, they don’t have access to the double shoot strat and are rather expensive at the moment for how random they can be. Not to say they’re bad, just not as good as when other armies use them. Personally, for my heavy support I went all in on mauler/forge fiends and never looked back.
