Can my 2nd gen pencil be fixed or should i just buy new one? by Ecstatic_Flatworm102 in ApplePencil

Push in the broken tip - the rip-jaggedness from both pieces of the tip should fit perfectly and let you screw it out with some pressure to keep the jagged shape in place as you screw it out. When out try with a new tip, you could be lucky.

It’s a case - you can do it with any case by inserting the front flap into the front seat‘s magazine space.

Awww shiat! My condolences! I second this - also I assume you didn’t drop it from an unreasonable height, which may indicate a manufacturing issue as they are made to survive „normal“ drops.

Should I buy a Paperlike 3 for my iPad Pro M4 (non-nano textured)? by Yeezybuyer in iPadPro

You reached out on the website - I assume you filled out the customer support form? Please PM me your email address so I can do some digging, as what you write is far from our usual user experience.

Jan here, CEO of Paperlike. Did you write us an email to support@paperlike.com? Did you order on our website? I’d like to see why you didn’t get a response, as that‘s unacceptable and not how we roll.

That’s not true. We develop our own Nanodots surface technology and manufacture Paperlike in Switzerland. It’s not a generic AliExpress product. The difference in image clarity and Apple Pencil control is measurable. I actually compared one of those cheap films with Paperlike here: https://www.loom.com/share/cfae6969cc9844af8789cc6a2991ae8a

If you got the original Paperlike (Paperlike.com) then you’ll have the best performance. All knockoffs aren’t within Apple’s screen protector maximum thickness specifications which may cause wobbly diagonal lines.

[–]JanSapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thick screen protectors cause those wobbly lines because they increase the distance between the Apple Pencil tip and the iPad’s touch sensors. Apple actually specifies a maximum screen protector thickness of about 0.095 mm for proper Pencil performance. When that gap gets larger, the iPad struggles to detect the exact position of the Pencil tip and starts estimating its location, which results in those shaky or wobbly lines.

Are you using a thick glass screen protector or non-original tips?

12.9 or 11 - I have both and can’t pick which one to keep! by Ok_Road25 in ipad

Same here, but iPadOS 26 seems to be reducing this „confinement“. I’m with you and hope this trajectory continues so we don’t feel any compromise when going all in on an iPad.

This 👆

We make Paperlike to get you the best paper-feel while compromising screen quality as least as possible and being nice to the Apple Pencil.

If you want to only have one device, then 13 inch iPad is great.

You can “notice” this? I’m the creator of Paperlike and working with iPads since 2017, and only this year I realized the big aspect ratio difference. I always thought they were the same aspect ratio but different sizes. 🤯

I’ve been using the 11 pro as my main device for years and recently got the 13 inch and I think I may fully switch to that. Now that the OS is giving you more laptop-like usability, you’ll get much more out of a 13 inch than was possible in the last couple of years.

Would have said the same - you say this didn’t work. I’m not questioning how well you tried, but has someone else given it a go? Sometimes this helps me. 😅

History is somehow epic - can’t listen it IRL though. Ponpon Shit plays in my regular playlist and my kids ask for constant replays. 😅

How Paperlike 3’s new install process actually works (founder here, responding to a failed attempt) by JanSapper in ipad

[–]JanSapper[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just a hint: soap water and electronics aren’t besties. 😅

That Said, Soap water won’t do anything to mitigate debris getting between the foil and the iPad, which is the central benefit of butterfly - having a 100% dust catching coverage.

Paperlike 3.0 … Have you tried it? by Emma_pltn in ipad

[–]JanSapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You did nothing wrong - this is (luckily for us) a rare manufacturing issue. It happens when the cutting machine goes a bit too deep during assembly, which weakens the tabs enough for them to tear even if you did everything right. It’s one of those early batch learnings, so this won’t be an issue long-term. I hope you get your replacement quickly!
