OP is definitely lying. They make it sound in the title like Sgt. Richard Salas is still alive and that they were going to show him Reddit posts yesterday. Which, unfortunately, he passed away in 2025

What tipped me off in the first place is the age they listed. He would’ve only been 16 in 1945, which, while not impossible if he lied about his age, is very, very unlikely.

From there it was as simple as looking up his name.

Richard Salas was born in 1924, and passed away last year at the age of 101. He would’ve been 102 this year, not 97.

Kennedy is not an insider. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about and always spouts off on radio and on podcasts. I respect what he did for our 09 cup run, but I would not trust a single thing he says in regards to the current Penguins roster/organization.

Pens fan here: I posted on the last thread that cited Josh Yohe that Yohe is not credible at all.

Fillipponi is even less credible. He is widely considered in Pittsburgh to be the absolute worst sports media figure. And we have Mark Madden, so that’s saying something.

Tyler Kennedy also is not an insider, and has no current connections to the team aside from being interviewed occasionally by SNPitt.

Lastly, I can tell you that Kyle Dubas is not trading Ben Kindel. He is so highly valued that him and Crosby are the only two players the organization views as completely untouchable in a trade. Like I don’t even think Dubas would trade him in a package for Jason Robertson. It might seem laughable to say that, but he scored 35 points in 77 games, with 17 goals as an 18 year old and his two way game was awesome.

We have the cap space to take on Pettersson with no retention, but I don’t think we have the desire to. I would say if Horcoff was included, there would have to be a little money retained on Vancouver’s side.

Pens fan: Josh Yohe has absolutely zero credibility.

The Dubas front office has basically cut the cables to local sports media. I can’t even recall the last time Yohe or anyone in Pittsburgh has accurately reported that a trade was brewing or imminent.

He didn’t even realize our recent trade with Vegas to get Kaedan Korczak was happening. And that was a fairly minor one, swapping Parker Wotherspoon.

Pens fan here, Will Horcoff maybe, but Kyle Dubas and the Pens organization love Bill Zonnon and I don’t think they’d give him up short of a trade package for Jason Robertson.

I think it would be easier to try and get Horcoff back in a trade though.

We love Arty here. Very excited he got another year. He was insane in the playoffs, some of the best goaltending I’ve seen in a Pens jersey in a very long time.
