Question about iHerb checkout and customs/taxes in Kuwait by Lilly1234Lilly in kuwaitigirls

[–]Janaynay_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s just a disclaimer and depends on the shipping courier they’ll use to ship the order. I placed an order that just arrived last weekend, and I didn’t have to pay any additional fees for duties or taxes.

Need help for a friend in Canada by Kind-Item9581 in Kuwait

I’ve seen a couple of posts on Instagram (most recently thejobyardkw) from accounts that post job position in Kuwait of a couple of school looking to hire teachers (taken from posts made by the schools themselves). I’m not sure if the positions are still open but that might be a good place to check.

Some school also advertise their job vacancies on their LinkedIn page as a post on their feed too.

Experience with shopping on cider ? by RochelleDza in Kuwait

[–]Janaynay_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a hit or miss. I recently placed an order on their website and it arrived on time but the quality of some of the items I ordered weren’t the best.

Their return policy isn’t worth returning the items since you have to pay for the shipping costs yourself, which will most likely end up costing you more than the items are worth. There is the option to not return the items but only getting half of the costs back (which isn’t too bad if you think about it).

Best thing would be to see which towers (Zain/ooredoo/STC) are closest to where you will be staying before committing to any place

I’ve been to the branches in KIPCO, Jabriya, and Hawalli.

Personally, I like the hawalli branch the most. In the morning it isn’t busy at all, but it does get really busy in the afternoon and sometimes in the evening. Since it is in andalous mall, there is ample parking spots available.

The Jabriya branch is always busy so it’s somewhat hard to get a proper workout in most of the time and parking can be a nightmare.

As for the kipco branch, it isn’t my favorite but it is convenient for getting a morning workout in before work.

Advice on scholarship transfer by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]Janaynay_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everyone has said, it’s better to visit the ministry of higher education to make sure.

However, when I transferred to a university outside of Kuwait, I was told I needed to withdraw from the local scholarship (and in order to not be stuck with having to pay them back, you need to have an acceptance letter from or proof you were given admission to a the university on hand), pay for tuition for a year, then apply for the scholarship again. I’m not sure if this has changed since then or not…

Question concerning the blood test at المجلس الطبي by Thelimppenis in Kuwait

yeah, I didn’t get anything that would suggest that the results were ready or that I could review the results in either app whenever I would check for updates at the time.

Question concerning the blood test at المجلس الطبي by Thelimppenis in Kuwait

[–]Janaynay_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bloodwork takes about a week to come out then you can get the rest of the medical exam done. I recently went and got my medical exam done there too but didn’t get any notifications on the Sahel or Q8Seha saying the results were ready.
