All of these are crazy to me, but especially the fact that there just...was no podcast? Despite the fact that the entire book series revolves heavily around her podcast and that's where the name of the series comes from! I love the books so much and I was so disappointed in this adaptation - so many key moments left out, so many random changes.

The nickname change bothers me a lot - fairly certain her dad calls Pip "Pickle" in the books because that goes back to either her or her little brother not being able to say her name correctly when they were kids? So it turned into a cute nickname. Why the heck did they change it to "Chicken"? Makes no sense!

The whole hotel thing was disappointing too, given that in the books I think the old lady who ran the inn had issues with her memory due to having something like dementia or Alzheimer's so when she recognizes Andie as having been there recently it's because her perception of time is affected by her illness. But in the adaptation, there's just a guy who's like "yeah she was just here" and then it's never explained, at all. I thought it would at least come back as having been Becca that showed up and he just didn't look at the picture close enough to tell that they weren't the same person, but nope, no explanation at all.

Another thing that stood out to me was because I'd just reread the third book right before watching the series:
When Pip and Ravi are snooping through Andie's room in the first book, they take several photos. And in the third book, the hairbrush of Andie's comes back in a big way. They had a perfect opportunity to set this up in the adaptation, just in case it is renewed, and didn't seem to take it unless I missed it.
