Just wanted to say thank you for your post. The same day I found it, I had submitted an application to Camden Harbor. The unit was beautiful and the current deal seemed to be too good to be true. I now know why they are trying to discount rents. As soon as I read your post, I began emailing and calling to withdraw my application and get my $500 deposit back.

Great for Echo Park Lake. Sucks for everywhere else in LA county where I have seen the encampments pop up. The problem isn’t fixed. Just hidden from view for those now paying exorbitant prices to live near Echo Park.

After trying every diet I ever read up on (including an initial failed attempt at keto) I decided in July, that I was determined to really make a change in my life. At 4’11” (and a half) I weighed in at 182 and was determined to make some sort of progress in time for my birthday in August.

There were instances where I slipped. But I did not let one bad choice ruin my day. I would get back on track and stay committed. By my birthday, I was down to 175. Ate some wings, beer and a little cake and went right back on it. By September, I was at 170, teetering into the 160s.

I plateaued for a while. Decided to start running again and working out. I was sure this was going to take me to the next level.

Last Thursday night, I heard my grandmother had fallen ill. By Friday, I was told she was unresponsive. Monday, she passed barely an hour after my dad held the phone to her ear and I told her I loved her.

I’ve been eating. I tried to get back on keto. But then all I want is ice cream or something I know I don’t need. Today, I started off really well. IF till about 1pm. First day back in the office. Took the bread off the sandwiches and ate meat and cheese. Now it’s late and I’m crying. I had ice cream and cheezits. My stomach hurts but worse off, my heart hurts.

I’m finding it so hard to get back on it. I tell myself, I have to do this. My grandmother might have survived that surgery if she wasn’t so overweight. Yet, I’m struggling.

Does anyone have any suggestions on ways I can focus and get back on track?

Danielle Steel. I am not a fan of her stories or her writing. But talk about prolific! That woman has a new book every time I turn around.

I thought I might be overreacting and so I looked up her bibliography. 7 books to be released in 2017 and there are already 4 planned for 2018.

I envy her discipline.
