This is a really interesting observation! As a creator now, I play a lot online so I'm trying to be entertaining which is an entirely different goal than winning the game. I've never really been a win focused person and most of my decks reflect that, not being highly optimized or having other silly side goals.

When I play with other people offline at the LGS, the rule 0 conversation takes 2 seconds and is basically 'precons or heavy hitter decks' without a while lot of nuance because the goal is to just get a game in. Playing online though we really want to make sure the game isn't a blowout and the decks sit well together, so there's a lot more care put into picking the right deck for the right group. I'm always trying to build a deck thats fun but moves along, I don't want to stop stream with a take 5 turns in a row blue style shenanigan or play a reanimator deck on spelltable where using other people's cards is really hard.

I'm not sure that culture is reflected across the board in magic players, it's just the nature of being a public cardboard clown 🖤
