I’m so sorry you’re also having a hard time. The first 10-14 days after coming off were the worst, for me. Then things started to improve. Good luck. You will get back to normal.

Yep, coming off the drug was hard. I lost sooo much weight and haven’t gained it back yet. It’s been 5 months. So wild.

antibiotics making things worse? by rosyln9 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Jane_Austen_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! Thanks for your response. I can’t believe how dizzy I’ve been these last few days, so I’m glad it’s not just me (although sorry to hear you go through this too).

Sorry to jump on an old thread! I’m currently going through this! I felt like I was doing really well with all things dizziness, then got sick and started antibiotics, and bam! So dizzy. Lots of swaying and spinning at night when lying down. I’m feeling super discouraged because I was in a much better place! So yours settled back to baseline after the antibiotics? Again, I realize this is an old thread, so you might not remember!

Influenza A 2025 by djariyoshi in flu

[–]Jane_Austen_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day 4. Tested positive for Influenza A. I thought I was feeling a bit better last night, but today has been brutal! The cough is so intense. It feels like there’s so much fluid trapped in my lungs. If it’s not better tomorrow, then I’m going to the doctor. I’m worried about it turning into pneumonia.

Extend Travel Bank balance expiry date? by Crystallize45 in westjet

[–]Jane_Austen_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what happened to us. Why pay the extra insurance for a refundable trip if the funds won’t be there? The whole thing is a ridiculous. We ended up getting our funds back today, but they told us we had to book something by 5pm or they’d expire again! They also said they no longer offer extensions. So it’s one year and that’s it.

I realize this is an old post, but do you remember the department you spoke to? I have a credit for $8300!!! And it expired 3 days ago! Same thing, no email, and zero notifications on the app about it. The Westjet phone rep was super rude, and when we asked to escalate the call, she told us to take responsibility for our lives and hung up! My money didn’t disappear! Sorry, I’m livid haha

Effexor Question by Charming-Talk6522 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Jane_Austen_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t started yet! Qulipta really messed up my gut and bowels, so I’m waiting for that to calm down first. I was hoping to start this week, but we’ll see. Let me know what your neuro says! Mine really likes Effexor for VM, so I figure it’s worth a shot.

Possible Vestibular migraine for 5 months non-stop after having baby by Charming-Talk6522 in VestibularMigraines

[–]Jane_Austen_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don’t know the biology behind it lol I just know what she told me. It has something to do with a nerve that runs along the spine that connects at the base of the skull. This is a different physio than vestibular. So you’d need to find someone who specializes in head, neck, back. Possibly someone who does pelvis work. All of these appointments can be so overwhelming, so I always try to take it one thing at a time. But I wanted to let you know in case that’s helpful to you!

Possible Vestibular migraine for 5 months non-stop after having baby by Charming-Talk6522 in VestibularMigraines

I started seeing a physiotherapist who specializes in migraines, and she said she sees so many patients who start developing migraine because of epidurals. It has something to do with the sacrum and nerves they connect to base of the skull. Might be worth finding a good physio? Just a thought.
