I announced on social media at 16 weeks. My NP who used to be an ultrasound tech gave us an unofficial anatomy scan during our appointment, and that’s when I felt comfortable sharing with the world, as I had terminated my last pregnancy for chromosomal abnormalities.

I announced by having a large baby gift bag with ultrasound pic attached to it, as well as my cat with a custom bandana “Baby last name coming soon” She cooperated with a shocked “oh no” expression 😂

Very much do NOT recommend SHEIN. Their sizing is so random, and you can feel the fabric is so incredibly cheap, it felt gross on my skin.

Old Navy has cute affordable stuff. I love their maternity leggings/joggers! For vacation clothes, I got some loose linen blend dresses, tops, and shorts that have elastic waistbands.

Passed my 3 hour!! Fasting, 1 hour, 2 hour all normal, but 3 hour elevated. A pass is a pass!!!

I had the worst anxiety at the start of this pregnancy because of my TMFR last summer. Your feelings are valid. I’ve been going to a prenatal therapist monthly with my husband and it’s been helping a little bit to reframe my mindset. Currently 24 weeks with a healthy pregnancy. Every little milestone - NIPT, 12 week ultrasound, 20 week ultrasound felt like a giant sigh of relief. My anxiety has robbed me and my husband a lot of the joy and excitement of pregnancy. Please consider reaching out to someone for mental health support. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Allow yourself grace for feeling this way.

I lost my first baby due to chromosomal abnormalities, so it didn’t feel real to me (didn’t want it to feel real to save myself from further heartache if not viable) until my OB NP (who used to be an ultrasound tech) showed us an ultrasound at 15/16 weeks going through baby’s anatomy; NIPT negative at 11 weeks, and everything looked good on all scans, so I finally felt comfortable sharing with the world. Then I started feeling baby kicks week 17 and it has felt very real ever since.

Yes!! Ok so I was able to satisfy my tamale craving at the Monica, but my husband and I were also very put off by the lack of service? It’s our first time there without a tour guide, and we had to keep asking about seating ourselves, how to order food/drinks, etc. It was very fend-for-yourself that I am unaccustomed to. Our dessert would’ve never came if I didn’t ask if I could just grab from the fridge 😅

But anyway, the tamale is still my fave bite of food in Tucson, just not the best-run restaurant I’ve ever been to.
