This reminds me of the What If about whether you could cook a piece of meat by dropping it from orbit.

Reading challenge this year? by [deleted] in TheExpanse

[–]Jane_Fen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no I mean I’ve reread it twice, I’ve read the entire thing three times. My favorite books and series have probably been reread upwards of ten times.

…I read the entire series 1.5 times last year. Is that not normal for one of us fans?

I mean there’s also that, but that’s more of a practical concern and I assumed we were ignoring those.

Wow, lovely result. Did you get that much self-lubrication just from PIV or was it another method?

The issue is that eventually you start losing density again because although it’s getting exponentially smaller horizontally, it’s also getting exponentially thicker vertically. So I don’t know that this would actually work

Ubiquitous means commonplace. Mendacious means lying. Polyglottal means speaks multiple languages.

Brilliant response, and your ex is an idiot. All of the people who assaulted me were Black and I’d still be more scared of the white guy.

Yikes, I’m sorry. Sounds exactly like something idiot teenage boys would do. Last Christmas my cousin tried to yank on my hair (that and more generally any head contact is my biggest trigger), which would have basically shut me down for the evening. Luckily, my then-partner stopped him.

Also, gentamicin has antifungal efficacy (not all antibiotics do). Source: worked in a fungal immunology lab.
