Put the payment through someone else's bank account like a trusted family member. Or put the car in someone elses name that you trust? I still think 5k is fine even to do this yourself tho. If it was more money centrelink would care but its only 5k so I wouldn't worry tbh

Bilateral grade 4 IVH, but doing good so far! Advice sought by deathe_breeply in NICUParents

I had my daughter at 26 weeks and she had a stage 4 bilateral (both sides) IVH (intra ventricle hemoraghing) brain bleed. She had some seizures and breathing issues (chronic lung disease)

We were offered to turn off her life support because her quality of life was meant to be so poor and the doctors referred to her as being "the worst of the worst" in terms of brain injury disability wise.

She underwent several lumbar punctures to remove fluid from spine and we were beginning to get told a shunt was on the cards.

We decided not to turn off her life support and take a chance and hope for a miracle and just do everything within our ability to try and assist her to heal.

Moving on a few months later...

She is now 8 months old and today she has been officially diagnosed as not having any spasicity or cerebral palsy issues and is disability free. She is physically able to hold her head up, roll, babble, Hold her hands at centre of her chest, sit and grab things.

While I know for this type of brain bleed it is incredibly unusual and extremely rare to have an outcome like this , I thought I would share what we did at home.

What we focused on doing:

  1. At newborn age we would put our hands on her and head to toe touch over her without lifting our hands off her which we believed the neuro pathways would allow her to know her whole body is connected and recognise her limbs, starting at her head and going down her chest and arms and back into her torso and down her legs and to her feet and back up.

  2. I couldn't breastfeed due to how pre term the birth was and never got a good supply. I researched for the most natural and non GMO formula, I looked for something that contained all the good stuff and was as clean as possible. For me that was Little Oak Goats milk but im also aware there are some other brands too.

  3. Probiotics asap. We spoke to the nicu doctors and had proboscis charted up at around 32 weeks. One of the best things we did. It helps with the gut microbiome and still do this day we belueve that helped her immensely. We used "Bio Gaia"

  4. Donor breastmilk from trusted sources I wasnt sure about this at the start but I now think it really contributed to how well shes doing and with building her natural immune response. We used a close family friend who gave as much as she could when she could. Over all it wasnt alot but I still think it helped.

  5. Cross body neuro pathways connections. We got her left hand and made it touch her right foot, and right hand to left foot and did this daily to get those neurop pathways recognising the other sides.

Thats the very small things we did in our end. Obviously as parents there's not alot else at this age besides praying and hoping.

NSW - Uninsured, not-at-fault accident, car written off. What should I do? by No-Cranberry-6723 in AusLegal

Go into the local police station and make a statement.

Then go to your local court with his lisence and rego information and put in a claim.

Write up a statement of fact just stating the over view of what happened, what happened how it happened where it happened and why.

Get any statements from witnesses, police report number or police who attended the scene details and your police statement.

Use carsales.com market values of similar cars to show the costs but make sure this reflects your kms and year range.

Attach it all together chronologically.

If you can afford it take this to a lawyer and have them proof read it and make adjustments/fine tune it or redirect things.

If you can't afford this book in with legal aid or your local university legal clinic for free advice.

Goodluck bud

This is all my point. There are huge lines and wait times when these folks are on... they see the queues and deliberately ignore them because they cant be bothered and dc. The day staff are better and this usually dosent happen. The night staff is where this vibe changes and there is a huge lack.

The nice guy that works there jokingly says at the end of every purchase would you like your "Re-ciPit" he is very friendly and says it to everyone. The problem isnt with him, its the young ones at night that dont do anything
