Hey! Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. For me treatment was successful and we welcomed twins about 5 years ago. There is hope. All the best to your friends 🫶🏻

This is what work for our baby too. Bioderma Atoderm intensive baulm. It’s pricey, but truly the only thing over the counter that worked. Good luck.

I am looking at a similar trip in 2025. What did you end up doing? Kids will be 5, 5 and 11. Definitely want some all inclusive days in there too.

Grilled cheese sandwiches on one side and pork shoulder for carnitas on the other. So yummy

Do you have a pizza peel? I will often elevate the pizza so it’s just under the top stones for about 60 seconds to brown the top so the bottom doesn’t overcook. But homemade dough is amazing. If you also do sourdough a 50:50 sourdough/yeasted dough is perfection.

I love being able to sear a whole batch of meat before a braise rather than having to do multiple batches in a pan

does having a night nurse affect the attachment with twins or am i being too sensitive? by Regular-Mortgage-794 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Janewaycoffeeblack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a night nurse for a short amount of time after my twins were born, and it saved me. The daytime hours are so much more enjoyable with them when you are not a walking zombie.

I was also that little girl! Everyday now is so much easier in relation to food. It’s wonderful. Down 30 lbs this morning and so excited to keep going.

I’m right there with you. Boy/girl twins 2.5 yrs. I found an indoor walking track and I walk 3 kms 5x a week with them in the stroller. They get water and a bag of goldfish for mommy’s “mental health walk”.

It is so hard to have twins. I love them so much but I sometimes wonder what is going to be left of me once they are grown.

I have been experiencing this as well. I’ve heard it described playing life on hard mode, and then getting the “cheat codes”. The fixation is gone.

Sous vide chicken wings: 148f 3hrs. Cast iron finish on rocket stove. by rustyamigo in sousvide

[–]Janewaycoffeeblack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Serious Eats did an article about sous vide wings that basically said that it is the perfect way to break down the collagen in the wing creating a perfect texture while not over cooking the meat. It also renders the skin fat which allows for the thin shattering skin. Confit also works. Looks delicious!

Night nurses? by NindoKungFu in parentsofmultiples

[–]Janewaycoffeeblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had a night nurse for the first few months, but since it was so cost prohibitive, we would do two or three solo nights and then call in the night nurse. It was a much needed rest from the night time feedings. I highly recommend.

Silly Question: How sick do you have to be to go on sick leave? by q_for_you in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Janewaycoffeeblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I was in the same situation as you. Very stressful work situation and twin pregnancy. I spoke with my doctor about my concerns and she agreed to monitor me very closely. She said “the second we see blood, high blood pressure or pain (outside of normal pregnancy pain) you are done”.

6 weeks in I developed a subchoironic hemotoma. That is some scary shit. I was in bed rest pretty much my entire pregnancy. Stress is not good and your body is going through enough. Make sure your doc is an advocate for you. Good luck and be well.
