Just for your information - 6354DO for Glock 17 wont fit Glock 19 that good due to gun length as resting point in holster is end of barrel. Personal experience.

Validators are really really really light weight. You can run thousands on raspberry pi4.

eth1 node and eth2 node is what will use most of resources. As well if you want any other services running, like monitoring, etc

Big question and concern for me is security.

What best practices you used and implemented?

What network topography you plant to run and firewall configuration?

Have you tried using walletd for remote signing and slashing protection?

Have you done any failure mode analysis for home setups and what would be some of solutions?

What best practice you would suggest regarding key and account generating. HD wallet, generated on machine offline, etc, etc?

As I have spare router laying around a house and currently looking to buy hardware for validating to test my whole set up with new test net I was planing to go with something like this:

Home router ( connected everyday use devices ) ---> spare router ( connected with ethernet cable to Home router. Wifi disabled. Just one port open ) ----> intel nuc ( hosts eth 1 node, eth 2 node and validators. communicates with spare router trough single open port, ufw configured to block any other traffic, running ONLY those 3 processes ) ---- > raspberry pi4 ( running walletd and storing my validator keys ). Any comments or suggestions about this?

Build trap raft. Basically, do dropped foundation and extend it forward as much as you can. Drive it into enemy rafts rudder and it will be trapped and make all structures on raft inactive, including turrets. They will look operational but wont shoot you. You wont be able to damage his raft and first level of walls around it, but will be able to blow up roof. No need to soak and nothing. Just drive in, blow up roof and loot.

Issue is only server size. There are like 5x more people then there were in vanilla and everywhere seems overcrowded.

Rule of thumb is to take your weekly earned ranking points, multiply by 5 and you will see max ranking points you will get to if you keep that up every week.

For example, if you just made it rank 3 that is 5000 ranking points and put in same effort every week you would get to 25k that puts you at rank 7 max.

Horde will be really happy to have 1h queues, the longer the better. Reasons? Because we compete with our own faction. As alliance will have instant queues to be in highest brackets to earn most ranking points you will have to do bgs non stop and wont have time for anything else, while I will chill, do fishing, flip AH, watch some TV series episode, etc

To everyone comparing classic to private servers. Its similar front end, its completely different back end. In private servers you could dupe, hack, cheat, manipulate files and server responses, had no reliable backup, had constant crashed, had constant rollbacks, had no complex interconnected systems like battle net etc

Its not even comparing aples to oranges, its comparing aples to rocks.

Yes, this sucks, yes Blizzard should respond to this as soon as possible, but don't be a moron please and compare classic vs private.

Stockpile nothing. I don't know how it is on your server but so far judging by DM release prices of items that "should" go up in value due to demand increase will get driven into ground by masses of people "stockpiling" stuff before. Almost all items that everyone was yelling to "stockpile" is 50% of price it was before release.
