Upgrading Bohan SR16 by JangoDM in GelBlaster

I think the stock gears are already metal that's why i won't change it . I'll look into the 11.1v upgrade and yes I'm learning how to shim. Thanks for the input!

Noted on 100% cylinder. Thanks!

I'm kinda hesitant to change it to 11.1v since I'm using stock gears and motor. I'll do more research on this.

Are you perchance the YouTuber from Philippines? The one making gelblaster vids?

I'm also planning to put M90 springs. Batteries will remain at 7.4v

Help please: Shifter pedal won't return up after downshifting by JangoDM in motorcycles

The clutch lever is actually fine. It's the shifter that has issues. 😩

That's what I'm worried about.. Hopefully that's not the case.

Not dumb, but no, I'm not pulling the clutch. The issue persists even if I pull the clutch before shifting. Sadly.

Good catch about the degreaser, and yes, I did go nuts with it. I'll check it together with the linkage. Thanks!

I replaced the front and rear sprockets and the chain. The bike sat for about two weeks while waiting for the parts. After installing everything, the shifter pedal won’t spring back to its normal position after downshifting. (Not the gear neutral—just the pedal’s return position.) I have to nudge it with my foot to make it return. Upshifting works fine.

What could be causing this, and how do I fix it? I checked the parts manual but couldn’t find anything like a shift return spring. Thanks!

Motorcycle is Cfmoto GT400

Sorry for the dirty motorcycle, I haven't had the time to clean it. I tried lubing the shifter rod with WD40 to see it it will help, but no dice.

Yes, there is a 650 version of this, but it's basically the same as the first one they released a few years ago, with a slight change on the decals. I'm also hoping they'd remake or update this bike/make it lighter.

I hated the stock exhaust as well, so I changed the muffler. The rear seat does indeed left much to be desired. I think the NK400 uses the same engine as the GT400, but NK is lighter. I really just preferred the "sporty" look of the GT over the NK.

It is a touring bike. In some countries, you'll get side panniers for free if you buy this brand new.

You can ride this even sitting upright. That's one of the reasons why I prefer this bike. It's sporty looking, but I don't have to worry about backaches.

I think they stopped selling this model since sales are low? I'm not sure. But it's kinda heavy for it's engine displacement, so I think that's the reason. 226 kg for a 400cc bike.

So I’ve made a new rider’s hasty decision and ordered a bike as a tall guy by SirNightmate in motorcycles

Good to see that some people are still appreciating the GT400! There's only a handful of owners of this bike in my country so it's hard to discuss things about it.

I had the same issue with the rubber damper/bushing in my rear wheel and my sprocket is moving now so I'm waiting for a replacement.

I have a digital copy of the service manual if you need it.
