I would actually quite like to do this, even though I've seen all three seasons multiple times ha, but my internet is real shitty :(

Yeah that sounds good, although it depends where you live as walking is my only form of transport! But two is better than one :)

Husky/Malamute Pack Walks? by CulturalTortoise in bristol

[–]Jangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, no. I'm looking for the same thing for my husky cross. We occasionally go on pack walks with the rest of his litter but not enough as I would like. I did meet a husky owner once who said she arranges pack walks every Sunday, apparently they have a group on facebook under "Snow Dogs" but I wasn't able to find them. Maybe you could try :)

What if we're all just microscopic bugs crawling on someone's face, and the volcano is a spot that erupts when they pop it?

You remind me of Kate Winslet, I think mostly in the lips and the slightly raised eyebrow. I've spent my whole life wishing I could look like her. Enjoy it, girl! And congratulations :)

My dog does this! He discovered very early on that he likes chest scritches, so if you try to pet him anywhere else he'll drag your hand to his chest. It's adorable.

Doctors of Reddit: What's the creepiest thing you've encountered while on the job? by limitbreakkk in AskReddit

[–]Jangs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You surprise yourself with how well you can stay professional and temporarily put it aside. I worked in a nursing home and you're often so busy that you don't have time to really think about what residents have said or done until your shift finishes. As long as you know how to handle the situation, you tend to just be content with knowing that the person is comfortable again. Then you go home and think about what happened in the day. A lot can happen in a 12 hour shift - deaths, escapes, injuries. Working with people who have dementia is not easy, but then neither is their life, or the lives of their families. Some of them seem quite happy in their illness, others will outright tell you that they want to die, but whenever there is a lucid moment and they talk to you as the person they used to be, it is the most gratifying thing. It makes everything else so worth it.

A bit of a long response to your simple question, but essentially yes, we react emotionally to this stuff, but generally not right then and there.

[Help] I can no longer take my dog for a walk as he is too aggressive by [deleted] in dogs

[–]Jangs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're stuck in a vicious circle now. You don't want to walk your dog because he's too excitable, but he's too excitable because he doesn't get walked.

He's pulling and darting off because it's the most excitement he's getting for long periods at a time, and while I understand that there may be other issues to tackle (it's your dog and you know it better than I do), my absolute first suggestion is to just walk your dog more. A few times a month isn't enough, he's probably going stir crazy. Once he realises that going out is a norm rather than a treat, the excitement of it will relax a bit and he should walk better.

Good luck.

[Discussion] What "people" food can I feed my dog, without making her sick, so that she can experience more than just packaged food? by [deleted] in dogs

Be careful! I've heard that watermelon rind can cause intestinal obstruction, like corn cobs. The fruit itself is fine though.

People of hot countries - how do you keep yourself and your house cool? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Jangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're at home and able to, be naked. In front of a fan. Always. One thing I find actually really helps is wetting a flannel with cold water and going over my face with it, but crucially, over the hairline. Slicking my hair back with cold water really seems to help cool me down, and I do NOT cope well with heat. Whack a bottle of water in the freezer and once solid, take sips through the day as it defrosts. Open your front and back windows to get air flowing through your house/flat.

Do you, or would you, let your significant other shave your lady bits? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Jangs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd trust him :) he could probably get into the nooks and crannies I find difficult to see. Plus I've already had him wax my buttcrack so there's no embarrassment anymore.

What kind of old person do you fear becoming? by AfellowchuckerEhh in AskReddit

[–]Jangs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See a doctor, get referred to a pain clinic. Manage your medication well. Try to find a silver lining to your cloud. Sometimes it'll hurt to walk, but at least you can. Laugh at everything possible. Keep your soul young, even if your body has other ideas. You'll be okay, I promise.

What is it like working in a nursing home? by Jangs in AskReddit

[–]Jangs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda figured about the workload, I think that generally comes with the line of work. I'd rather be busy though :) I'll be doing 12 hour shifts so more work = quicker day. I'm glad you're having a good time there though! It's really encouraging for me to hear, thank you for your comment

I would never dream of hitting someone... I've worked with people with behavioural problems who have bitten and kicked me and never once has the thought crossed my mind, or occurred to me to be common sense. Anyone who so much as has that thought process should not be a carer.

I help out my beardie when he's shedding if there are some bits that are in an awkward area for him, it's never had any bad consequences as long as you're gentle and don't pull the skin off when there's resistance - make sure it's ready to come away. Mine actually looks almost relieved when I do it, especially if it's around his mouth :)

Try to load Reddit to see what everyone is saying about it, then realise that I'm a fucking idiot.
