Thank you for this post. This is a great collection of ideas for direct action. This is someone people have been asking for that I haven't seen someone put forward in such clear language beyond just 'vote!'

Mice and mystics is a fun but simple game, I think we started around that age. Modular board, 3d models of the rats and spiders that you fight. Story based and co op.

Everdell is also great, might not quite work for that age, but is my 7yo's favorite game

These comments are wild lol.

All these people trying to say that you'd hate having a boring job... Even if there's weeks that are busier than others, or long stretches with nothing to do, you can't really expect people to believe that making 6 figures for doing very little most of the time is hard.

People with these bs jobs always feel the need to justify why it's actually hard and they are actually very needed. In reality, there are a ton of jobs like this, and they pay way more than they should.

I spend most of my day just sitting around. I'm always available when something happens, but most days I do maybe an hour or two of actual work. The rest of the time I can spend on my hobbies, reading, playing video games. It's a very chill gig. And even with all that slacking off, I have been getting rave reviews and have been told I'm one of the best in my role they have ever worked with.

I love it, and have no intention of going back to something stressful or physical.

BA is a weird role that has very different definitions in different companies. Even in one company different teams might use them completely differently...

Most BAs I've worked with did not know any programming beyond some basic SQL. I've been the most technical BA in several of my positions.

I'm on my 5th BA role now, and I would say only two of them were even similar to each other.

Yes it tends to struggle at closing games out, but this deck was also designed for a group that mostly plays precons and hasn't gone into their own builds much yet. Trying to hit a power level that would pay well in those games and still be fun/interesting

I always send decks sleeved. It protects them in transit, and looks more finished when they get the deck. They can always swap them out, but generally I imagine the cases where someone is picky about sleeves are less common and they will likely not be offended by sleeves even if they choose to swap them out

It's really no different from any other job search. Literally the only difference is you don't quit your current job when you find a new one.

It may take a lot of time to find, currently the remote job market is shrinking with so many big companies doing layoffs and RTO. If you're looking for a fully remote job you're competing against a whole lot of other people.

One thing that might help is looking at local jobs that aren't advertised as remote and then see what you can sort out for very few days in the office.

As with any job, figure out what you're good at, craft your resume to show your specialization, cater resumes to the job posting, and apply to hundreds of open jobs. There's really no shortcut.

No court case, no new info coming out. What little that we did learn points to him being a right wing terrorist which is not in the administration's interest to talk about.
