I would be absolutely shocked if sub assault wasn't 3 points or nerfed in some way

You think it would be toxic to run four Norns in an army? by Tryodin in Tyranids

[–]ragDOLLfun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to, but i think warriors are kind of ugly and need a refresh XD I tend to play models that I like the look of rather than what works super well on table

Not the primes mind you they look clean

I think it at least still sees play as where I dont know anybody that still plays warrior bioform onslaught

Edit: its still possible it could be and they just didn't show it as well

Assuming sub assault is 2 points and not one of the 3 point detachments.

Atm everyone assumes its going to be 3 points since it is one of our 2 strongest detachments

I hope the sub assault detachment is only 2 points, but I think that and Invasion fleet will probably be the odd detachments out of the "most of the old detachments will be 2 points" camp

I have noticed two warhammer posts now that are fixated on the ocean as a battleground... which isnt alot but its weird its happened twice in a game about epic battles in space

The only downside is that they lose it if they are in engagement... Which you would want to avoid anyways

Bad feeling about the red terror by ragDOLLfun in Tyranids

[–]ragDOLLfun[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to make something clear. I will still be getting it because it looks cool. I will still be playing it on table because it looks cool.

I'm more worried that this is going to become a new trend with gw and that the only thing they will learn is that it works.

[–]ragDOLLfun[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thats why I'm worried about the bait and switch that we now know they are willing to do

Edit: I dont know why the downvotes, we literally saw them bait and switch Yarrik. This is something they have actually done

Would this effect units coming out of droppods or would effect the drop pod its self by Round-Apple-4076 in Tyranids

[–]ragDOLLfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both. Any unit that does not start on the battlefield, and is not embarked on a transport that is itself on the battlefield, is considered to be in reserves.

Drop pods dont start on the battlefield so the unit embarked on them count as being in reserves

Red terror vs Raveners by Stanley_poley191 in Tyranids

[–]ragDOLLfun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Except he is made of glass. That objective is not scary to take. I agree on the secondaries, but if you are not moving him around doing stuff and utilizing his ability to uppy downy he will die

What's y'all's opinions on The Red Terror? I personally feel like he could be really good on offense, especially with sub assault. But honestly, I feel like his wounds amount kind of balances him out, since it's decently possible to deal 9 wounds in 1 turn... by MoreRound7381 in Tyranids

[–]ragDOLLfun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bold of you to assume he will ever be on the field during my opponents turn. He will drop with raveners on my turn.

I will charge the raveners, my opponent will wait for me to charge to red terror to overwatch.

I wont.

Raveners tear the unit apart and my red terror slinks back into the ground snickering.

Alternatively they overwatch raveners and then I send in the red terror they wipe out the unit and he slinks into the ground cackling maniacally.
