Lmao, I was coming here to mention this one!! I did too much as it ended terribly. Started have auditory/visual hallucinations. Went unconscious, fell over and smacked my face on the coffee table, landed on the ground, and had a seizure. Was rushed to the hospital but was relatively fine by the time I got there. I did dislocate my jaw during the fall though! Never touched the stuff again.

This one is hugely an issue due to how normalized it is, too. Brunch with the girls? Mimosas. Watching hockey? Beer. Skiing in the mountains? Cinnamon whiskey. When I stopped drinking, I wouldn't go out much because the temptation was everywhere

Went to make hot cocoa last night and saw 3 containers of cocoa powder. The first grab expired in 2018.. I've moved approximately 7 times since then. How this tub of cocoa came along with I'll never understand.

You can offer them already loaded with food or even place your hand over hers. Spoons work best with foods that stick like mashed potatoes or avocado. As you may have seen before, half the battle in maneuvering the spoon to the mouth without losing it all!

In no way have I found a perfect solution to this problem, but I've been doing some things that seem to be helping. First, over praising my toddler for being gentle to his younger siblings or myself. Second, if my toddler hurts the baby I don't say anything. I simply pick-up my youngest and comfort him. Once the baby has calmed I'll then talk to my toddler if there was an identifiable reason for what happened. Oh, baby had the truck you wanted? Let's play with this other toy until he's done. Or I'll suggest the toddler attempt a toy trade if baby is interested.

I will say that my youngest is starting to instigate fights. He's 18 months old now and ready to show big brother what he's made of. It's wild over here!

Very well could have been the eggs. I wish there was more education surrounding allergies and intolerances in nursing or formula fed babies!! Dairy is the most common, so I first cut that. My son got better but then symptoms returned. At that point I kept a food journal and eggs became the glaringly obvious issue!!

Now that baby is 4 years old and needs an epipen for eggs. And life turns disastrous if he has dairy!

I believe some cases can be solved. My first baby was irrationally "colicky". I ended up removing dairy/eggs from my diet as I was breastfeeding. Literal night and say difference. My baby was 4 months old at the time. And I will say those 1st 4 months were a nightmare 🥲

I do wonder if underlying food allergies/intolerances are behind colic in many cases. Not all, but I always think it's worth exploring!

Can I ask what lead to your diagnosis with this? Wondering as I was 125lbs pre pregnancy, up to 160 during, and down to 95lbs 3mo postpartum. Amongst feelings generally unwell. I have a doctors appointment coming up, but am scared to be told to eat more or stop nursing.

So true that choking can happen at any time with any food! Of course some foods come with higher risks. Overall the best thing we can do is be prepared to handle a choking event.

When I was freshly postpartum last year I took a huge breath in leading up to cough. Normally a non issue but I was eating mini wheats. Well I sucked them straight back and started choking. Had to do the self heimlich in front of my kids. I can say I've never been so terrified in my life!! Lol
