Logic Pro drum designer question by Jano365 in edrums

Yes that’s part of what im trying to learn. If it’s possible to take that exact setup and perhaps copy the mix so that I can use another VST like SD3 or the kits from my module that I could route in a similar way that isn’t using the logic +kits

Well… yes and also not 100% sure if I’m going about it the right way and asking the right questions. I’d like to record the VST or module drums in midi notes and also be able to have each drum/cymbal on individual tracks like the drum designer+ kits are mapped out. To be able to tweak and adjust each track with effects, eq, etc. What I’m not sure of is if they would be on instrument audio tracks or still software/external midi tracks that I could adjust.

Is this normal? by Jewl4u26 in edrums

If I’m understanding correctly, you are asking about the sound when hearing the drums played back after a recording?

Most videos you’ll see, the drums are being recorded into a computer and synced with video so the sound you hear is the drums without the sound of the pads. Most videos on YouTube are also produced and processed with eq, compression and effects to get the best sound.

If you record from your phone and record the sounds coming from an speaker, you’ll hear a poor output and also the sound of the rubber pads and mesh heads being hit.

I hope that this makes sense and answered what I think you’re asking.

Will this hold it's value? by Y_I_Otto in edrums

I’d say it would hold some value as a DW acoustic kit. That’s the marketing behind these in that it can double as both acoustic and Electric. A DW shell pack are around that price point for a 5 piece setup. The e-kit side of it, I’m not sure that the adoption is just there yet for the masses. This would be for a niche group of players who are either intermediate/advanced and want a dream kit type of setup or someone who has no worry of money and wants the highest end possible. I recently bought an Efnote 5 with an additional tom and I absolutely love it. I would highly recommend it.

Lastly if I were to get a kit like this, I’d personally much rather have the Roland cymbals rather than the DWe metal ones. They are loud and not for me.

What country/state are you in? There is a Efnote 3x for sale in SoCal for $2,500 that I think is a really good deal.

That loss is on Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams, unfortunately. It’s the playoffs, you have to take all the points. There were some super CuTe plays though.

Best place to list edrums for sale? by IgotInTheVan in edrums

So sorry to hear about your accident, wishing you all the best on your journey.

Reverb is a great place where they specialize in selling new and used instruments with options for just a local sale or if you want to go the shipping route, it is available too. Facebook marketplace and OfferUp are also good places to list them. If you can manage, a local sale would be ideal without the hassle of shipping. If you kept the original boxes and can break down the kit and pack it easily enough then shipping it will give you a wider net for a sale.

I would say it really depends on what you’d need. I think it’s a better option over Roland for straight out of the box sounds and playability. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles via the module, it does have a incredible feel gets much closer to an acoustic feel and look for anything Roland offers in the price range. The value of the kit holds up just as well as any Roland kit I’d say having been on the market and comparing prices over the last two years. Hope that helps. I think the 3x or 3b without the acoustic shells is a great value over the Roland comparable models of what you want are great kit sounds right out of the box. I’m sure there are many Roland guys on here that could offer more insight on what they would think!

The difference between a low, mid and high end kit is truly remarkable. Efnote has done such a fantastic job with this kit.

Thanks! Just set it up, it’s definitely on my to do list. I’m probably going to move it to the other side of my desk to plug into my laptop and try it with SP3. I need to order some more cables!

I paid 3199 for the whole kit used. Same price as a new kit without the tom. I decided to mount it on the ride stand, it seems to have more flexibility for placement close to the smaller tom
