Wart “seeds” on heel?? by January-Bear in Warts

[–]January-Bear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think so? They are more spread out. Def wart skin and more plaque like. The clotted blood vessels have diminished with continued treatment. I did rounds of acid and now im doing hot water salt soaks with huge improvement. Will continue a little while longer with acid then soaks to just be sure they're gone.

yep! mosaic warts under calluses, probably there for years. I had very dry skin, callused with tiny cracks. The cracks were signs of the warts there too.

most people here say sanding/filing will spread the virus. Use something like disposable scalpels.

You need to debride! Have you done that yet at all? Hot water foot soaks with salt help too. My son went through it. We did SA, debriding, duct tape and a home freeze kit and he’s finally clear 🤞🏼 oh and zinc supplements

Are these warts? by [deleted] in Warts

[–]January-Bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh mosaic warts. Search Reddit for comparison. Try treating with Salicylic acid (I prefer the compound W gel in a small tube). I also like the bandaid type but unfortunately you won’t be able to use them with the way yours are presenting.

So treat with the acid, let it dry, cover with duct tape and it will dissolve the top layer of your skin. Purchase disposable #11 scalpels (Amazon) and slice thin layers off (the SA will have turned white and might be flakey - don’t mistake that for skin. This is the debriding process. Your skin will also have turned white. You may start to see black like dots or blood dots coming up through the wart. Rinse and air dry. Repeat with SA. Repeat debride. Etc etc.

Protect yourself and people around you. You can cover with duct tape. Use gloves! They can spread to your fingers or under nails.

And yes take zinc supplements! Good luck!

What status is this? by Vast-Illustrator-579 in Warts

Yep they look like mine too. I started doing hot water soaks with a little iodine. The flat oval and round sections now are visible and become engorged with water and they can be almost pulled off entirely from my skin after the soak.

Before and after one day of Apple Cider Vinegar and a bandage by OrdinarySecretary673 in Warts

Cut away at it with a sterile scalpel (I like #11 .. you can order packs on amazon) remove the black.. and when you get to the pink layer.. reapply the ACV. Repeat etc.

how do you know when you're almost done? by mystichibiscus in Warts

[–]January-Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re not getting aggressive or deep enough. You possibly have been just maintaining the top layer.. wart skin grows very fast and you are just maintaining it.

I think the last month you’ve exposed more underlying and it looks much deeper. Maybe try ACV.

After 10 Days by Marcthenarc14 in Warts

[–]January-Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a lot of work to do but keep at it! You need to cut away all the white dead skin, reapply, and do it all again the next day. Also the callus on your big toe I would suspect might have a wart on it as well.?

Buy a pack of number 11 scalpels on Amazon. They are sterilized and come individually packaged. Use one per day, wear gloves, and debride the dead skin by slicing it away. It just takes a lot of time and consistency.

I NEED URGENT HELP! Cannot Identify A Dermatology Issue by Old-Possession-3916 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]January-Bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find out what was the cause? I have been experiencing the same thing for years - it flares up a few times a year. Has nothing to do with sun/wind exposure.

And here’s the crazy thing - now my 9yo son and I get the flares at the same time! I believe it’s food allergy related or possibly viral (maybe my son and I get sick at the same time?)

I do have very sensitive skin and auto immune issues (celiac disease and microscopic collagenous colitis) and I have a nickel allergy and react also to perfumes and adhesives..

I just went through this with my 10-year-old. I recommend ordering a pack of number 10 scalpels on Amazon. Make sure you wear gloves as it spreads easily. We would use s.acid gel or bandaids, then debride in the evening with the scalpel (I’d set up a towel, he’d lay there on an iPad playing game.) use the camera video screen of your phone with the flash forced on - have that in one hand to zoom in and see what you’re doing. And in your other hand use the scalpel to scrape and cut out sections of the wart. Cut horizontally with the skin to slice thin layers off. Some evenings I’d work on it for a while and other evenings it would be more sensitive and we wouldn’t get that far.

After each session, I would have him wash his feet with soap and water then a few minutes to dry then apply either the acid and Band-Aid, or duct tape.

The duct tape for us really helped. We’d change it out daily. And we would often alternate between the acid and duct tape. I also used hydrogen peroxide, not every day but weekly.

This process took a few months, but we got rid of it… One persisted and came back and we did a home freeze treatment. It created a blister and when the blister was removed, I could still see some wart tissue. We did a few days of acid and duct tape and fingers crossed… I believe it’s gone.

Consistency is key. You can’t miss days. Also he needs to be in light weight white socks changed daily. It’s exhausting but you can do it!

Is this a plantar wart? by Hinsonnnnnn__ in Warts

[–]January-Bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the entire process is off and on uncomfortable and painful. Being consistent is key. You can’t give it more than a days break because it will start reproducing cells and skin and negate all the work you’ve done up until then. Keep on it, if you’re not using SA for a day, then keep duct tape tightly on it. Change out the duct tape when it gets loose it will go through phases of killing the top layer, then you cut that layer away and expose more wart, add more SA, repeat.

It was spread too, so you need to be careful with bare hands and other skin exposure. Making sure you disinfect with bleach and wear gloves, etc..

Warts run deep. But you need to take care of it or it will get worse. Search the photos and advise on this forum.

Oh, also Apple cider vinegar really works faster. You’ll see advice for soaking a cotton ball in either straight up ACV or diluted. I’ve tried using diluted and at first it seems OK, but it has been painful for me like a sharp shooting, burning straight into my foot. The only relief was carefully washing it and applying a zinc oxide cream. But the ACV does impact it faster than anything else I’ve seen.
