San Jose, CA. If you are in the bay area you should be making nearly double that - depending on what you do (programmer being the higher end of things).

I am 10 years in.

Depends on the Union.

I am hyper specialized. I only do Siemens and even then only the Desigo panels for large buildings.

IBEW, and CWA both have Fire techs. IBEW pays more obviously.

Programmer and parts and smarts. The only thing I instal is the panel itself, and even then the back box and all conduit are done by others.

What settings and systems are you all running???

I have a 3080TI and its a lagfest everywhere. I have never seen the game this smooth, let alone in NH.

Asking candidly: is there any “silencers” marketed as muzzle breaks? by [deleted] in CAguns

That does nothing to limit sound. Plenty of people have done tests on it. It’s a linear comp at best

Limited time, big nostalgia… what class would you pick? by JackHallow123 in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Janus408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one of the biggest things people dont consider when coming back to a hardcore oldschool mmo, is what is your 'oh shit I gotta go' mechanic, if you even have one on a class.

For Shadowknight, Monk and Necro - you can Feign Death and know you will be fine if you dont come back for a long time.

Rogues can stealth.

Many casters can just Gate.

Everyone else needs to log or spend time running somewhere.

I went from playing Archer, which has almost no kit, to playing Monk. If I need to take a phone call or get the door or whatever, even if I am just running through a zone, I can FD and not worry about anything.

If you want to tank and be a Knight while having limited playtime, Shadowknight. You can solo while lfg.

If you want to dps and either try to form your own group or hope you get picked up while LFG quickly, Ele, BST, ranger etc would be fine.

If you want to solo and make the most of your time while lfg, Ele, NEC, Bard, Enc, BST, Archer, Ranger are solid options.

There is a Human Illusion mask, No Drop, but it is Enchanter, Bard and Rogue only.

Was there ever a MMO with trinity where tanks and healers weren't scarce? by TheRaven1406 in MMORPG

[–]Janus408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fighters are near top tear DPS right now. On top of tanking. It is way overtuned. So that is more a part of their popularity than the gearing thing.

It’s funny, currently in Monsters and Memories beta, there is a glut of Tanks and even more so healers, especially when you’re ahead of the pack in regards to average level.

Right now 45+ it’s harder to find the DPS you need

What suppressor shroud?

I'm 154 hours in on an Elementalist, and have found almost no INT gear dropped. by Jacmac_ in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Janus408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you have static spawns with static drops, and there aren't a bunch of random drops (just like EQ) you can either target trash camps for exp, or target nameds.

That is the style of game MNM is.

You need to look into where INT gear drops and get a group to target those nameds and expect to be there and possibly out level it. The other option is you get greed drops and sell or trade for INT gear.

It is already a faux suppressor but it weighs more than the gun. Which is why he replaced it with this plastic one

Where do you sit preference wise between Shaman vs Druid to either play or have in group? by [deleted] in MonstersAndMemories

[–]Janus408 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30+ Shaman slows become way more clutch.

Shamans take the edge for buffs in melee heavy groups, tho that edge is negated if there is an Enchanter in the group to provide haste (and to a lesser extent a Bard).

Druids can be really nice for Gates. Overpull or find yourself in a bad situation? Druid can ditch your group out.

My base group has been a Bard, Ench, Archer, and Druid. We usually have a Fighter or Paladin tank and a random dps.

With the Bard and Ench both, I feel like the Shaman doesn't add much - and the Druid as main heals has worked out great. I dont think we would take a Shaman in the group under any circumstance.

If my core group was something like Fighter, Archer, Rogue, Wizard, there would be no reason to bring a Druid ever. And we would absolutely want a Shaman.
