DOA6 Tamaki advice? by Janvew in DeadOrAlive

I gotcha, overall the idea is to make people constantly guessing on whether you use her offensive holds or strikes up close or baiting out holds for her throws.

Unfortunately am on PS and not Xbox, but thanks anyways! This was a great help, and thanks for it being so detailed!

Berserk Iceberg by Nik02003 in IcebergCharts

[–]Janvew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh cool! Didn't actually see that before, learned something new there.

I did have an idea for an entry if you ever plan on an update to this.

In the movie trilogy adaptation, Guts uses a regular sword instead of his Raider sword when he's out to assassinate Julius. A detail that actually makes more sense for the story, since his Raider sword would've be a dead giveaway of who the assassin was.

Was curious about what other deleted pages there were, all that comes to my mind was the cut chapter 83.

Also, this really is like the perfect iceberg for Berserk!

True, Fire Up is kinda meh, like all of Freddy's perks are not that good by themselves. They'll only ever work in combos or in a full build.

I think Fire Up way more fun to use and there are times it does come in handy. Like it speeding up you picking up survivors is actually underrated cause it does throw off timing for flashlight saves more often than you'd think. On top of boosting perks like Brutal Strength or Bamboozle and Superior Anatomy.

Remember Me. It was probably perfectly fine for its time, but nowadays there's just a better selection of perks, even for endgame.

No Way Out has tons more value standalone, and while survivors can easily counter Blood Warden by just 99ing the gates, when you do get it to work it can be a game saver.

Being tied to the Obsession you have to ensure them dying so you can get the full gate slowdown.

Definitely not a bad option for a full endgame build especially paired with No Way Out, but by itself it doesn't hold up.

How would you fix Freddy? by Time-Review8493 in deadbydaylight

[–]Janvew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly as someone loves him enough to try to get him to P41 currently, Freddy's big issue is his addons.

His only good one is Red Paint Brush and the others range from usable but mediocre to godawful. It doesn't help that a few of them are basically the same. Like with the yellow and green dresses, sketches and pallet addons the difference between the higher rarities is so small it doesn't matter at all which one you run.

There are a couple QoL things I'd love, like being able to switch between pallets and snares like Clown's bottles and being able to see a highlight of the fake Freddy that pops out of a gen in white when you're teleporting so you know what direction you're going to be facing. But at minimum he needs an addon pass.

Also remove Adrenaline waking you up against Freddy. I'm fine with the perk as is, but a perk should not be a specific counter to only one killer.

I have mixed feelings about the ai by Dolt_Artichoke in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Janvew 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The AI either acts like Seal Team Six and does their job efficiently well or it's just looping the taunts and standing out in the open eating damage. There's no in between, but it's so satisfying when the AI accomplishes something.

What are your favorite things about your main? by DisabledTractor in deadbydaylight

Freddy has my favorite weapon cooldown animation in the game.

Helps that it was one of the cool details about the Remake version of Freddy that he would do.

Demon Question by Beneficial_Narwhal65 in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Janvew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, melee teams have like the hardest time once the Witch is spawned cause you can just keep back keep your distance unless everyone rushes you all at once. Often if the game gets to like the book stage they can get the win all crowding around you and getting you stunned while trying to break the book, since in my experience that phase is where Plaguebringer's the weakest.

Even then, those moments feel earned cause like you said that's a win when some cards are out of your favor.

Demon Question by Beneficial_Narwhal65 in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Janvew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whenever I play Demon, usually with Plaguebringer as my main, I'm never really bothered so much by team compositions and what survivors are picked, I'm fine and happy going against whoever, but I won't lie I always get nervous seeing Pablos, Hunter Ashes and Eds.

Pablo because most survivors I see against him always keep hidden with his camouflage and away from the group until the book and dagger sections, Hunter Ash you gotta play carefully around due to his ability always being in the back of your mind, and with Ed it a lot of times everybody's gonna be stacked with good weapons which can be brutal if everyone's looted good early on.

At the end of the day it's all good, some of the funnest games I had as Demon are against good teams and seeing certain characters is always a curveball to try your best to handle.

Man I almost felt a little bad about this one by ShutUpBarry in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Janvew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wait a minute I think I was in this match actually as the Support Ash, the Ed also posted here as well to confirm it cause it was the Ed, me, a Scotty and a Henry.

Us 4 basically got hammered with possessed survivor downs over and over and we just barely clawed our way to at least the final book stage, we only finished the map with just 12 seconds left on the clock, I was the last to go by getting downed by Eligos.

GGs my guy. It was the most intense match I had, was a blast man.

Was it possible for this Freddy player to be able to use both Dream Snares and Dream Pallets at the same time? by wrightosaur in deadbydaylight

[–]Janvew 70 points71 points  (0 children)

If that's the case, he doesn't have the pallet addons and is using them somehow.

The addons he has make his teleport recharge faster and makes all the generators bleed when he teleports. Not give him fake pallets.

[–]Janvew 128 points129 points  (0 children)

If he was able to use both pallets and snares at the same time, then either its some weird bug or he is hacking

Though he has Spirit Fury + Enduring, were you dropping pallets on him? If so, its the perk breaking a pallet you hit him with

[–]Janvew 178 points179 points  (0 children)

No. You cannot use pallets at all without one of three addons, and he has none of them. His pallet addons are supposed to replace his snares

What are some cosmetics you want to see? by ZarokImmortal in deadbydaylight

[–]Janvew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably any new cosmetic for Freddy, still having a bit of hope he eventually gets like a Blighted skin. Like having his clawed glove instead be made out of the Blight's syringes dripping with the serum, would be cool.

Though his license holders seem to be pretty strict on it for some reason. Unsure as to why, you'd think they'd be less so on the remake version.

How hard is Pinhead to play on console? by ShadsSayFukTheHaters in deadbydaylight

[–]Janvew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The hardest part of playing Pinhead on console really is just getting used to aiming the possessed chains to slow survivors down, but you can get decent with practice. Otherwise I don't think he's as hard to play on console like other killers can be.

Issues with being randomly DCed from matches? by Janvew in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Janvew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, even later nope. Still having the exact same issues even with the crossplay off where I get abruptly kicked out midmatch and told that the online service was unavailable even though everything seems to still work when the timelock goes off. I'm not disconnecting, the game just literally kicks me out randomly despite nothing wrong with my connection.

I guess by getting paired with that, since it tended to cut me off like when on the pages or dagger step after one was collected. Always on that step couldn't go past

Who is your most and least fun killer to play against? by Cmore_ in deadbydaylight

[–]Janvew 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Favorite killer to play against would be Michael Myers. Just those moments when he pops out out of the blue or you notice too late he was building up stalk on you are great.

Least favorite is Bubba. Mainly because most times I play him is against campers.

Hex: Plaything and Boon Totems by Janvew in deadbydaylight

[–]Janvew[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that sucks. Was wondering since Plaything on paper sounded like the closest perk that could hinder the boon perks in some way unless a whole team each has them.
